How sad that this is even a topic...No Way would I charge my parent. First of all, she is in the basement, you are financially set and she is on a fixed income, and on top of that she has lost her spouse.

Congratulations! You look so happy and healthy. I have exactly 50 pounds to lose - I've lost 10 so far =) Your before and after picture was very motivational...I feel like I too can do it! Do you have any successful tips or ideas? Thanks so much and good luck.

I agree that it usually is an overestimation of calories burned...Sounds good when you are entering it in but I would much rather have a realistic estimation.

Your post is very inspirational. I have lost almost ten pounds and know I need to start some kind of exercise program. I had a friend tell me she wants to take a Zumba class...I keep telling her I am too fat and out of shape. I need to just do it! Thanks for posting your story.

I tried barefoot last night and my feet are hurting today. I really am thinking about getting the 5 Finger shoes. Hope that becomes my happy medium.

Thanks for the information...I just purchased whey powder as a post workout drink. So you suggest prior as well? Any tips would be greatly appreciated. I not only need to get into shape but lose weight as well. As hard as the Insanity workout is, I really enjoy it. I feel like I am getting the best possible workout.

Thanks. That is what I have and they are great for everything but the side to side movements. It might just be a defective shoe set =(

I have actually tried doing the workout sans shoes seeing if that helped and it did with the lateral stability but obviously no cushion. What kind of cushion do those shoes have? When you're doing the jumping does it give you enough cushion? Thanks so much.

Thanks! The majority of the Nike is made of the mesh material and my foot slides continuously! Especially when I am doing the side to side movements.

Thanks for the tips! I am one week into it and didn't realize I had certain muscles =) sore...sore...sore! But, it is a good kinda sore. I will try runners with some serious cushion to see if that helps. Thanks again.
