  • I've been doing 5:2 for over a year now with good results... lost those last tough 15 lbs and, most importantly, maintained. I've lost weight in the past by tracking calories/food intake with MFP with good results, but it was really hard for me to maintain long term because, in a busy world, it got to be exhausting always…

  • Just keep walking those dogs! That is great exercise for you and the dogs. Work on increasing the speed, maybe work in some hills and a minimum of 30 minutes. Whatever you find, just keep moving. :-)
  • For fiber, try some of the whole wheat double fiber breads or sandwich thins that are out. They are light, soft breads with really low calories - an extra bonus!
  • Chicken & Corn Enchiladas w/ Verde sauce These are just guidelines - tweak and add/subtract to your own taste. • My answer... don't worry about it. If you're hungry and it keeps you awake, then up you go and eat some breakfast. If not, then enjoy the extra sleep and eat later. Sleep is important too... :-)
  • Woohoo!! That's fantastic. :-)
  • This is probably a little late for the lunch... but for future reference. Other hints / tricks to help at a buffet: 1) choose a smaller plate to get food. If you're going to fill a plate, it is better to fill a small one. :-) 2) walk through the line and survey what looks good and get an idea of how much of each you are…
  • The biggest thing is that you're moving! For me, I have a hard time remembering all of the various exercises that I could do. So, I purchased two sets of FitDeck cards, one standard and one with weights. A bootcamp trainer I had for a bit would use these during the class for various exercises and circuits. When I go to the…
  • Check out Title Nine Sports: http://www.titlenine.com/category/sports-bras-and-undies.do The more 'barbells' next to the bras the more support. :-)
  • Don't worry about the amount of fat.. just the overall calories. Try spaghetti squash with marinara sauce over the top - very filling, satisfying and low cal. Good luck.. :-)
  • You can simply cut into pieces and boil till soft (like potatoes), then serve with a little butter, salt & pepper. You can also have them cold on salads. Another way to cook - better for winter/fall - is to roast them. Cut into pieces, toss with a little olive oil, salt & pepper, then put in a hot ~425 deg oven, stir…
  • Check out www.titlenine.com. They've got a great selection of sports bras for every type of support! It may be a little more money, but well worth it. :-)
  • Yeah! I've been soda free since 2002. I used to be a big diet Coke/Pepsi junkie. I found the first few months difficult because there are not a lot of drink options at many places if you don't drink soda and I missed that acidic/bubble taste that came from the soda. Now, after so long without soda, I really dislike it and…
