Some good points above. It takes some research and dedication to be a healthy vegan...my advice would be to transition slowly as you learn and experiment with different foods. Supplementing vit b12 is essential!

Thanks for the recommendation. I am mostly vegan for ethical reasons and it sounds like her views may not be all that different from those of many vegans :smile: . I've been vegetarian so long that I can't imagine eating meat anymore, just not appealing.

None, i've been vegetarian for more than 20 years! I eat tofu, seitan, chickpeas, "fake" meat from Gardein and lots of other stuff :flowerforyou: I have been on MFP only 2 weeks, but have not struggled meeting my protein goal...
