  • The HealthView app (for phone and watch) is also awesome, especially of you are a former dedicated FitBit user like myself. There are many apps in the store that pull data from the watch/health app, break it down and present it to you in various formats. I don't yet like the Apple watch3 for workout/excercise. FitBit is…
  • Just an heads-up, MFP will not accept Apple Watch exercises categorized as Other. Apparently theyr'e working it, but for now, no go.
  • The integration of Apple Health/Apple Watch series3 with MFP isn't as terrific as MFP and FitBit integration. After comparing ease of set-up and data syncing between devices/apps, I've also found (so far) that Apple Health/Apple Watch3 integrates most easily with LoseIt when compared to MFP. It's frustrating, (big time)…
  • Fitbit and Apple Health do not work together. Such a bummer! As a user of both Fitbit Charge2 and Apple Watch series3, Fitbit still wins the health tracking race. Fitbit auto-recognizes exercise, with Apple watch you must remember to start and stop the tracking. Fitbit allows the user to see a history of workouts, allows…
  • I think this is part of an ongoing issue that diminishes the value of integrating devices with MyFitnessPal. I just did a long, intense, gnarly (like I'm in major pain right now) cardio workout. FitBit calculated my activity burn at 492calories. MyFitnessPal pulled it in, recalculated it and credited my account with 202…
  • I do about 12miles a week of treadmill running and really like how the fitbit-one tracks. At the start of the run I engage the FB-One timer by pushing and holding the button on the face of device - this starts the timer and gives me instant feedback on the number of steps, distance, calories burned and active minutes for…
  • I own both - Alternating between them. They are typically within a few hundred calories of each other in terms of recording calorie burn and steps - Except when it comes to exercise. I have noticed a significant difference in the way the two products record data during exercise. I can take an hour long, gut killing,…
  • I've been wearing both and found them to be very close in terms of data reporting.. Often the fitbit reports more steps, the bodymedia armband reports a slightly higher calorie burn, but overall it seems quite negligible. I am wearing the Link armband more, I prefer it's data feedback, app, and website reports.
  • Search the message boards! You'll find MFP and fitbit are having technical problems this morning.
  • On this occasion the workout involved trail running. I have continued to see egregious reporting differences between the FitBit and the Bodybugg. The Fitbit is starting to seem more and more like an expensive pedometer. The point of all these products is to provide real-world feed-back. I accept that no product at this…
  • Here are my workout stats from yesterday - wearing BOTH a Fitbit and a Bodybugg... Steps: Fitbit: 10,171 - Bodybugg: 6,833 Calories Burned: Fitbit: 1,630 - Bodybugg: 2,001
  • The reality is that you don't have to exercise - It is after all about the food, the calories you consume. You are perfectly welcome to make your weight loss a long, drawn out, excruciatingly slow process that results in sagging body parts and flabby, hanging skin. Totally your choice.
