I really appreciate you putting this up. I generally avoid sugar-free sodas and drinks for flavors sake, but now I won't feel as worried about the occasional no-calorie beverage.

I want to track down and try these. Even outside of calorie counting the possible uses for these are mind-blowing!

Thank you! I think I'll change it to lightly active to make up for it and be very careful about my calories until it takes.

1890 is my limit.

My BMR is over the goal number they gave me, and my first day I didn't eat much so it posted a message about eating at least 1200 a day. What's a TDEE?

Wait are you being serious?

I found the first one from the past interesting... Like, it wasn't so much his doing at much as a malfunctioning pituitary gland. I knew a girl who had the same problem.

I met Dave Ramsey once. Oh, also I saw Glen Beck during the Tea Party at the Alamo... My family and I were having ice cream in the nearby Hagendass when he strode by, surrounded by a crowd of security or something? I dunno, it was an interesting day to be visiting.

Oh my gosh, guys, I can't even say how supportive you all are being right now! It's so encouraging to read your stories and see how far you've come since you started, I can't even begin to describe. Thank you so much! If I was unsure about taking the steps I'm currently taking, I wouldn't be after this.

Speaking as a newbie myself, I think you should just eat within the minimum and the maximum. It's like a point system; eating adds a certain amount of calories, and exercising takes a certain amount away. Try thinking like that; it's easier!

I'm making sure to leave room for that kind of thing, because it happens ALL THE TIME and has killed many a new diet. I have gum hanging around, so I may try that; I've also heard brushing your teeth helps get rid of cravings. Worth a try?

I can never remember how much water I've had during the day, so I kind of guess.

If I want a low-cal breakfast I have a serving of instant ramen and a glass of milk or some cold cereal. Err, I know that doesn't sound very appetizing but I'm sure with a little fnagling it can be improved...

Hey, I'm new at this too and I have a question: Isn't part of the point to eat less than your goal and exercise more than your goal? I'm not talking about eating so little it puts you in starvation mode, but I thought you lost weight by eating less than your goal, and exercising was a way to insure that.

If you go under 1200 calories doesn't your body go into starvation mode? That doesn't seem safe. I'd get a second opinion or use the calorie calculator here.
