Thank y'all so much for the feedback. It can be frustrating to track and do "everything right" and see no changes. I have been losing inches the past couple weeks so I am hopeful it is just water retention/my body fighting off the infection etc. I won't lose motivation or steer off course, but I do feel better knowing this…

I have never found a Nike that felt great. :( Some of the styles are really attractive looking but they just don't do it for me *shrugs*

Thank you so much! That's very helpful!

Thank you! I'll check these out!!

I go to a center that has one of those super cool and very expensive scales that determines all the fat, water, muscle mass etc and I thought it would be cool to use one at home to compare and see how accurate it is. I need a new scale anyway and these "in depth" ones are all reasonably priced so it's not like I'm shelling…

I'm on the north side of the city (north of Oak Park, but still in the city) but I will look into both of these outlets. Thank you!

Thanks everyone! My partner ended up surprising me with a Galaxy Active watch 3 days after I posted this! It has been amazing and I still love it 1.5 years later!

I ended up going to Fleet Feet and bought a pair of Brooks and they are amazing!! Best shoes I've ever owned!
-
I have that one in my cart. Do you like it?

I've considered buying online. I just really need to try the shoes on, though. I'm so picky. I need tons of support while also feeling like I'm walking on clouds!

You have to start somewhere! I look at before and after (or during) pics constantly. Especially when I don't want to workout.

Just clean eating and walking 4-6 miles a day. I still have alcohol occasionally, etc. I follow Food Rules: A Doctor's Guide to Healthy Eating. But I'm living apt 90/10 .eat right 90% of the time and eh 10% of the time. I'm not in a rush to drop itall. It's a lifestyle, not a diet. That's why I still have everything in…

Me too! It's getting closer! I can see it!

It sure did! Thank you. I guess I'm not really at a full plateau. It's just really slow all of a sudden coming off. Usually it's about 2-3 lbs a week and the last week and a half is been about half a pound. I haven't changed my diet, the same combination of foods I have been eating the first -18 lbs. I just added a whole…

Ok, that makes sense. How am I losing inches though? What's that?
-
I feel the same way. I try to have a little bit of the old foods I used to eat thinking it'll be a treat, I always end up regretting it. I do it less and less. Takes time to realize those bad foods aren't treats anymore

That's awesome!

Isn't it awesome how fast our bodies adjust

Thanks y'all. I took yesterday off and didn't do anything. Some days I only walk 30 minutes and others are more exerting. I definitely do a cool down. I'm 219 lbs so I can't do crazy intense workouts right now.

Cinema or Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites by Skrillex get me pumped up. Also, Another One Bites the Dust by Queen.

To go down a dress size in my uniform. I'm a flight attendant and sadly no longer one of the cute ones.

Warning! Crude Language! The quote that inspires me the most is... "I don't exercise for my health, I do it to look sexy as f*** naked." Obviously I do it for my health too, but I read that once and fell in love with it. It's hilarious and totally my kind of humor.

Amazing!

thank you so much for your kind words and encouragement everyone!!
