It's the best! Keeps me motivated.

PETA is stupid. :grumble: Not all vegetarians are skinny and not all meat eaters are fat. I even have veg*n friends who are overweight (myself included). It's not only about what you eat but also how much.

I think it depends on the individual. It took me about a month to start seeing any sort of something. My mother on the other hand stops eating too many carbs and withing a few days her pants are too big. :ohwell:

Egg whites, Natural Peanut Butter (though it is high in fat), fruits/vegetables (of course), unsalted almonds, and most meats..... and that's all I could think of right now.

I recommend using some whey protein. I had issues in the past but now I'm great. Some people don't like using it and I totally understand but it's really beneficial to people who need proteins (ie. people who don't eat much meat). Be careful though. Try not to get anything with too many carbs. I've tried a few…

Don't do it. Remember! The internet is an amazing beautiful thing (hint! hint!). If you really want to buy it though it's real cheap on eBay.

I do about 6 hours all together. An hour each day from Monday - Saturday. Mon, Wed, Fri consist of strenth training and the others are cardio. I'm not sure what you are supposed to do but that's my schedule.

I recommend not drinking juice. Just water. Loads of water. There are too many unnecessary calories in fruit juices. At least that's just my opinion. :ohwell:

Couch to 5k is an awesome program. Many people have done with success. You definitely get into it. I did!

I recommend planning your meals beforehand that way you know exactly what to snack on and when. It definitely helps. That way you can incorporate the things you like without worrying that you might be above your daily caloric intake. :drinker:

I don't cheat. I just try to eat as healthy as possible all the time. I agree with flutterby00 it is a lifestyle change.

I know where you're coming from. I too am a dead broke college student. I contemplated getting one too but I decided to put the money into some dumbells/resistance bands/weights. It costs a whole lot less. If you can't do weights I also recommend body weight training. It's the greatest. I juggle between the two and…

Make sure your eating enough. 900 - 1000 calories is nowhere near enough for anyone.

That has been debated quite a bit. If eating before working out does nothing to you I say go for it. I can't do that. I usually run on a empty stomach. Eating beforehand gives me nausea.

I set up my own goals. I eat 1450 calories per day. (Shooting for 1lb a week) 145g - protein 109g - carbs 48g - fat I think that the "recommended" amount is way too low for most people.

Love Couch 2 5k. It's the best!

If you become upset DO NOT eat. Just go for a short walk to calm your nerves. Trust me some nice fresh air helps a lot when you're not feeling well. I usually take my dog for a walk when I need to get out of the house.

Made some today. Along with some homemade sauce (Thanks to my pop). It was delicious!

I've been doing P90X. I'm on my 4th week. It's pretty intense. Good Luck!

I know exactly where you're coming from. I used to weigh in at about the same weight a few years back (I was about 16) and diabetes also runs in my family. I'm now all the way down to 156 lbs. It took me a while (didn't know what I was doing) but I lost weight. Slowly but I did it. :glasses: If I did it I'm sure you can do…

I cheat once on Sundays (rest day).

When I'm no longer motivated to keep going I just shut up and do it. I usually hate myself during my daily workout and when I don't let myself eat that oatmeal cookie (though I do allow myself a cheat meal once a week) but after all is said and done and I step on that scale at the end of the month to see that I've lost…
