I don't care for diet sodas unless they have Captain Morgan in them :wink: but I use artificial sweeteners in lots of things like coffee, tea, oatmeal, cereal and I have for years...I'm still alive and pretty healthy.

Steak, pork, eggs, ribs, potatoes, (yes ice cream), sunflower seeds, cheese...I could go on and on.

It's the state of Texas. If you look at similar crimes in other states, the penalties are not as severe. It's unfortunate for him he happened to commit these in one of the toughest states on crime.
