  • 5'2.75" so counting as 5'3", and want to be 130lbs
  • I get hungry at work, it is a very physical job in a warehouse stacking and lifting freight. I have just started counting again, and honestly part of it is that only two meals feels weird. Especially with it being an active job.
  • I have a Garmin forerunner 15, I am not super good about updating though.
  • Needing friends for my third try! We can all do this together.
  • I have 80lbs to lose, and when I go for runs, I sometimes hear people at the park make comments as I run by, so I started listening to music as I ran. If I can't hear them, they don't exist. Maybe that could work for you too.
  • I definitely do. I am a beginning runner, and sometimes on my runs, the thought crosses my mind that I am so slow, and "could be so much faster 80lbs lighter". Really though, other days I am just glad that I can run any distance at 210 lbs. It all balances out, and the latter thought manages to make me actually feel good…
  • Thank you for all the tips. I'll start with a jacket if I can find one, I was going to get a moisture wicking shirt anyway. And a hat will be a must, sadly I own nothing but beanies!
  • The temperature here rarely drops below 40 (F), especially at the times I run (I work night shift, so I run around noon when it is already fairly warm. I do have a Marshall's nearby. Basically the stores I have around that are less than a 30 minute drive are Walmart, Target and Marshalls. What types of materials am I…
  • I am a beginner runner that experienced the exact same symptoms and my doctor diagnosed it as posterior tibial tendonitis. (this was just about a month ago that it was diagnosed too), I took 3 weeks off running (last week was my first week running again) and followed the RICE. It is now pain free except when I twist the…
  • 5'2.75" Here, and currently at 196-198lbs. Just getting back on track again since an injury kept me benched from working out too much. Now I am about ready to start up running again. My next mini goal is 185.
  • I may have joined a little early, but I am currently training for a 10K after starting the C25K in June. I have dreams of running a marathon so I thought this group would be great to join. As soon as I recover from a massive blister from new hiking boots, I am going to be running again, and working hard to hopefully run my…
  • I still have a lot to lose (80lbs), but I've set my intake at a solid 1500 every day, and will stay at that caloric goal for awhile, since 1500 is a good place when I weigh less too.
  • W8D2 today, went ~2.3-2.4 miles in the 28 minutes of running, which is fantastic! Especially since a couple weeks ago I was going at a 12.5 minute pace. so at least 15 seconds per mile faster :)
  • Week 8 Day 1. I thought I was going to die. Well, not really, I could have kept jogging, but mentally my brain decided to go "Is it over yet" around the 26 minute mark and I had to push past that. On a side note, my knee is better, and the ankle that I apparently rolled causing me to fall on Saturday was only slightly…
  • W7D3 today, only one more week to go! Today was harder than usual. I've been working overtime at work and sleeping less so my body has just been exhausted. I did it though. With a funny twist in the middle. About 8 minutes into my run, I was running down one of the hills on my route. I had gone down this hill every running…
  • After having to postpone a day due to an unexpected 6.5 mile uphill walk after work on Tuesday (my body was screaming on Wednesday, I completed W7D2 today. My legs (calves) were still a little sore from the walk, but I powered through, and if I was a little slower than usual (usually do a 12.5 minute pace, probably did a…
  • Height (if not 5'3"): 5'2.75" Age: 25 Starting weight: 209-212 Current weight: 203 (give or take a lb) Goal weight: 115 (probably too low, going to hit 130 and see if I want to keep going) How many calories do you eat a day? 1300-1700 (my settings say 1500) Do you eat back "exercise calories"? If its a 1300 calorie day…
  • W7D1. I feel like this run kicked my butt, and at the same time, I feel fantastic, and I am starting to really consider myself a runner now. Whoohoo!
  • I think self-acceptance is a very selfish thing. But I don't mean selfish in the normal bad way. Sometimes we all just need to think about ourselves, and what we need, since often we are so busy thinking about other people that we become unhappy, and begin to hate ourselves. To truly accept yourself means you have to not…
  • Completed W6D3 today. I also just realized that with me repeating week 4, and getting sick right after my first week 1 and waiting a week to restart, that the 5K I am registered for is 2 days after I complete W8D3. Ooops, but 2 out of the 3 weeks I was delayed weren't really my fault! Ah well, at least it isn't a race, it…
  • W6D2 today! And my running buddy is recovering from her injury, so she just walked the entire distance today. Due to that, I slowed my jog, and felt great when it came time to walk, so I jogged the whole time until the cooldown. 23 minutes, and it was EASY
  • It says I am small boned, my wrist is EXACTLY 6" at 5'2.75". Honestly, I think it is false, I am Medium at best, and really do have abnormally small wrists in relation to my body. Those wrists match my abnormally small hands. Going in contrast to my abnormally large feet and ankles.
  • I am lactose intolerant, so on the rare occasion that I buy cheese, I always buy full fat. If I am going to have digestive issues I would rather it be with the best. I also drink 2% Lactose Free milk, and Fage Fruyo greek yogurt.
  • I have rewards for every 10lbs I lose. At 204 right now, and at 200, I get to eat dinner at the local sushi buffet :), then every 20lbs after that is a sushi buffet reward, the 10lb increments starting at 190 are things like new workout clothes, sports watch, snowboarding and biking gear.
  • 5'3. and was a 12 at 190-200lbs. I am at 204 right now and my 14s are getting loose, so I might even be a 12 again.
  • W5D3. I kicked butt this morning.
  • W5D2 was EASY!!! I think I am totally gonna kill D3!
  • I have and love my Mirena :) I don't think it caused my weight gain, since I stayed the same weight for the first 6 months after I got it, then started gaining (I blame a nasty break up for the weight gain).
  • W5D1 today. It was really easy! Need to extend my route though, currently going 2.1 miles, going to up it to 2.6 by Friday.
