  • There is something about turkey mince that never looks nice so is unappetising - think it is because it is so pale !! BUT the flavour is fab for burgers, meatball, etc especially with a teaspoon of curry powder or garlic stirred in, yummy and very low fat/calorie !!
  • with Marmite on crackers :)
  • Certainly didn't work for me. I have a good appetite too and although I followed what I thought were the rules, I didn't lost weight at all. It is inferred that you can eat unlimited carbs on green days and unlimited protein on red days, then you get the mix and match with the new way of dividing up your plate but still…
  • Hi Joy Your stats and weight loss experiences sound just like mine. I started with Herbalife just over 12 months ago and am now at target having lost about 30lbs (it keeps bouncing around !!) I am wrestling with maintaining now but still hanging on in there after 6 months so it definitely works !! Will send you a friend…
  • It is really tricky I think and much easier to lose than maintain. I got to target in December and have remained within 5-6 lb of that since but mainly at the upper end as it is so hard to keep that real enthusiasm. I would like to actually get a couple of lbs below target then be able to bob up and down there but life…
  • I blend mine with skimmed milk, ice and frozen strawberries/raspberries or with a teaspoon of drinking chocolate. Tastes just like a thick milk shake to me :)
  • Funny this should come through now. Was reading about the health benefits of drinking more water and I am particularly bad at just drinking plain water so I have set an hourly ping on my mobile and get a glass of cold water every hour during the day and just drink it. I am not particularly cutting down on other drinks but…
  • I'm putting in a word for the good old potato - definitely my carb element of choice :) I generally stick with a whole pile of vegs with my meals in the week and add the potatoes etc at the weekend when I allow more calories on my tracker To OP, you are doing really well with your losses so whatever you are choosing is…
  • Sure you could but don't like the sound of that myself. I use skimmed milk or fruit juice to mix and often frozen berries or drinking chocolate powder for different flavours. Feel free to friend if you would like to see my diary choices xxx
  • Nuts are always good to nibble on and high in calories but I very often have soya bean snacks. Herbalife do a good one in little bags and I also like Humdinger - Thai Sweet Chilli Edamame Beans which are also soya. Neither particularly cheap but I like the fact that they are high in protein which is always a good thing for…
  • Done gluten free myself for a couple of years when I had horrible skin issues which cleared up eventually, seems ok now. I have friends that have gluten or lactose intolerances and even vegetarians, god forbid and do you know, they are not jerks or holier than thou and we all muck in to suit everybody. We all have our like…
  • Love the god-like pronouncements of some people - I guess it is good to be so sure of ones own opinions ??
  • Good luck with your wi today, sure it will go well. I have got to target now with Herbalife and am still using it as part of my maintenance plan because it is easy and I like it too !! Feel free to 'friend' to pick up any meal ideas if they would help although its usually meat, fish or chicken with loads of veg. Its so…
  • It got me to target in conjunction with MFP and counting calories. In my opinion it is a food like any other that I buy and I like it and find it very convenient Find what works for you :)

  • I love the Muller light yoghurts and at 99cals per big pot are a great sweet finish to lunch :)
  • I always add extras including ice so always use blender to prepare but I do take a made up shake to work and stick it in the freezer until about 10.30 then allow to defrost in the fridge so its icy cold. It does get a good shake then just in a generic shaker beaker. Would presume the Herbalife one is similar so just check…
  • This sounds like the way I am maintaining but would certainly not call it binging ! I am satisfied with the lower number of calories in the week and really enjoy the extras at the weekend. You need to find what suits you long term to maintain successfully
  • I agree with Lauren. Both SW and WW seem to be saying out loud 'eat all this free food and lose weight' but are whispering 'but of course only eat until you are satisfied'. I don't have a 'satisfied' button which is why I have been overweight/dieting for most of my life. For the last year with MFP, I have accepted that I…
  • You wont stick with the plan if you let it take over your life. I know you have only just started and are feeling very strong but this is an important day with your Mum that you don't want to spoil by debating about food. Enjoy the day and most important get back on track the following day :)
  • Wecome - message sent :)
  • Cant say that the Herbalife has had that effect on me, probably the opposite really so without seeing what else you are eating its hard to say. You are doing lots of workouts - are you eating and drinking enough ?
  • I use Herbalife - but the same idea, and I make my shake in morning including blended ice-cubes then put it in the little freezer in the office until about 10.30 then back in the fridge until lunch time. Its just about defrosted and a quick shake up makes it (almost) as good as having it fresh. Could you freeze yours…
  • I always use the Vanilla and add fresh berries or drinking chocolate for more interesting flavours and to make it more of a meal. If you search on here, there are hundreds of ideas too. Feel free to 'friend' me if you would like to see my diary where I show the ingredients for my choices !! Good luck with your challenge,…
  • That's how I started too - at target now :) There are lots of disapprovers, but it worked for me !!
  • I think that as we are on here we are likely to be counting calories and therefore very aware of our daily intake. I would imagine that people who don't count calories just have varying amounts every day and don't worry about it. I wish I could be less obsessive too :)
  • I have always weighed my powder rather than a 'scoop measure' - mine would just get more and more heaped! Its really quick and easy to weigh if you put the tub on the scale and set to zero then take out to -26g. Each tub is 21 servings and my first kit was one months worth of stuff and included 2 tubs of powder. I have got…
  • Hi there, its always nice to see new people on the board !! I have been using Herbalife since April this year and have lost around 33lbs to get me to target. I worked with having 1200 calories a day counting my 2 shake meals and then a healthy dinner in the evening with a little snack too if I could fit it into my calorie…
  • I think it is all about keeping tracking :)
  • Just a general opinion from me !! You have done really well up to now, it took me 6 months to lost 30lbs so you are way ahead there already so I dont think it would do you any harm to up your calories a bit to slow your losses down and ease yourself towards maintenance. I think you are on quite a low level of calories for…
  • Add me if you like :) I have just got to target after starting with Herbalife in May and losing approx 33lbs. I use it in conjunction with tracking calories on MFP like any other food so providing I keep tracking my maintenance calories cant see any reason why I should immediately put it all back on again as some…
