  • I started my journey needing to lose 21 pounds, 12 more to go. :)
  • I took a 2-day break from working this past weekend. I was crazy sore so I thought I’d give my muscles a break....but I’m back in business. Phase two of Focus T-25 and still doing PiYo at night.
  • Did you select a date by which you want to reach your “happy place”? It seems I’m most successful when I have a “due date” like the week just before my family reunion or vacation. :) otherwise, I might let myself slack off, I can’t negotiate with a due date but that’s me. Since you are a runner, I’m sure you have a lot…
  • I haven’t done the sculpt exercise yet. I just finished PiYo Core for the first time today and my abs hate me right now. Lol, but whatever....it just means I have to work on them more. :) What’s your motivation? Are you trying reach a particular goal? Just maintenance? I have to get rid of 12 lbs between now and December…
  • Have you started working out with PiYo yet? I started about 2 weeks ago. It’s WAY harder then I ever thought it could be. I’m still doing Focus T-25 in the daytime and then I do my PiYo exercise at night about every other day. I’m still learning the moves for PiYo and I’m trying to get the perfect exercise form but despite…
  • Yes, I got right away. Thanks again. :)
  • Thanks for referring to those links. I learned a lot. I was one of those people that has been eating less than my BMR and working out 5 days a week but eating under my BMR is gonna stop today. :)
  • Wow, those are great results! I really am looking forward to Gamma. I start Gamma this coming Monday. Keep me posted I'd love to hear about your progress and I can always use another Focus T-25 buddy to help keep me focused too. :)
  • Thanks for sharing your experiences and thoughts. I'm really excited to continue my workouts and I really value the support from this forum! :)
  • I started doing Focus T-25 10-weeks ago and I've great success! Part of the program, like many of them, is to take before pictures of yourself so I did that. One of my problem areas was "back fat"... they key word is "was". Whenever I didn't feel like working out or I was craving "X" (fill in the blank), I would look at my…
  • I'm leaning strongly towards to going straight into Gamma. When something is challenging my muscles/mind finds a way to "cheat" so I'm thinking starting over with Alpha next week would be the wrong choice. I'm sure I'll remember how to cheat from the first time. :) I believe Gamma will give me new challenges and new…
  • Awesome! Was Gamma really tough? Did you feel prepared for Gamma before you started? Are you finding the second round of T-25 more or less challenging then the first time? I'm so excited about this... 5 stubborn pounds to go. lol Then, I'm on to maintenance. :)
  • I definitely plan to do Gamma and then start the entire program over again. But I was thinking, since I didn't "nail" every workout in Alpha and Beta maybe Gamma would be too aggressive. With all that said, I believe there's a huge advance in starting a new phase because my muscles wont be used to the new workout so I…
  • I'm in my last week of Focus T-25 Beta cycle and I just received Gamma in the mail today. I love this program and I look forward to my workouts everyday. It's the only program I've ever done where I'm actually getting consistent results worth bragging about! But, I do watch my calories and nutrition like a hawk. :) I've…
  • I've changed my eating habits to eat healthier and stay under or very close to the suggested calories. Occassionally, I'll have a non healthy treat.. but it's not the norm. It's just a treat. This way of eating has been the most effective for me so far. Also, I find that it's best for me to log everything I eat every day.…
  • I'm doing Insanity right now. I just finished the first 30 days and I'm into my recovery week starting today. On day one....I was challenged with the "fit test" Going forward, I would get tired just during the "warm up" stage. :) Insanity is tough but I love it! Thirty days into the program and I feel stronger and look…
  • I'm right there with you in the pan of brownies! I've also discovered that I'm tempted by pure fudge .... I can't even successfully walk past a place that is selling fugde ..... Darn yummy goodness :)
  • i'm new to MFF and I'm loving it. So far, I've lost 3 lbs in 2-weeks on Insanity. Here's my dilemma.... when I try and stay within the recommended calorie intake, then I exceed all of the other categories like protein and sugars, for example. But, when I try and stay within the recommended categories, then I wouldn't get…
  • Why is it recommended to use a multi-vitamin when working out or doing high-intense cardio? I'm really trying to get everything I need from the food I eat and not a supplement source.
  • Thanks for explaing the ED thing. I didn't know what it was at first either. May be I aslo watch too much TV.. but that's a whole different conversation. :)
  • I'm 5 ft 3 inchs and 136 lbs. My goal is around 125. I was a 120 lbs for a lot of years (size 4). That size on me, with my build looked a little tiny (on me). Although I say I'm going for 125 ...i'm really going for a tight curvy body and as I add a little muscle that might mean my "ideal weight" is more than 125 lb. The…
  • I drink about 5 cups a day (two 20-ounces bottles)
  • I log everything everyday. A good record of what I ate helps to refrain from doing it again... especially when I see how my cheating really wasted the effort I spent exercising.
  • Yikes! I might be in trouble...I've been eating 5 times a day and equaling around 1500 calories. The good news is I'm not starving and I rarely get hungry. I've also lost 3 lbs in 10 days...does this sound bad? Maybe I should eat more so my body doesn't go into shock / starvation mode?
  • Okay. Thanks, this information helps. The calculator I used is http://www.fitnessfrog.com/calculators/tdee-calculator.html I used the calculator you suggested and I tried to be honest....I don't like how much time it seems I'm sitting around doing nothing. :) BMR = 1594 TDEE = 2987 So, I should be eating roughly 2487…
