  • Thank you for this. If it didnt help anyone else, it helped me!
  • Hey everyone! Just wanted to remind everyone to please take your rest days! And be careful about how fast you are adding milage each week. Im on week 8 and decided to be invincible yesterday (after having done a 45 minute run on Friday) and I hurt myself after about 4 miles. I did the workout for week 8 day 2 then decided…
  • I looked that up online and I would love to do that but I think Id be doing it alone! Of course I would have to wear the bunny suit, not sure how that would go over.... a lone runner in a bunny suit. My neighbors would think I was a creeper. Are you doing it with a group or by yourself?
  • In the beginning I was running each workout twice in a row, 4 days a week. Today was run 8/walk 5/ run 8 which was a little tougher so I did some intervals instead of running it a second time. I think if you are being safe theres nothing really wrong with doing it twice, but it does get harder as you go. Make sure you are…
  • ME! ME! I am too! Almost done with week 5! . Adding some intervals now too. Its been awesome! We should all be proud of ourselves no matter where we are stuck or how fast we are breezing through it. My daughter (15) and I have agreed to do the RunDisney Tinkerbell 5K in January. Does everyone have an event they…
  • Thanks for all the suggestions, you guys are all great. Going to try them all, even getting thyroid checked - I have that done every year anyway.
  • I have to do some more research on low GI carbs. I have dabbled with that but Im a sucker for potatos :( And HIIT is something I was just looking at today, sounds like everyone whos done it swears by it. I would like to know more about what that is doing at the cellular level but regardless, Im going to start HIIT this…
  • Well first, I wasnt really expecting nit-picking but, ok, I suppose the title is misleading. I guess it should read "...losing little weight" or something along those lines. My bad, wasnt really thinking about the title at all... Yes, it does not make sense. I eat until Im full. Most days I dont even want more than 1200…
  • Thank you all for your kind replies . I truly apprecieate all the advice and ideas. Im going to slow things down, and work a little longer overall to build up to 10k distanc....long term goal. I do think its probably a good idea to be nicer to my joints!
  • Awesome. Thanks for that. That makes sense - I need to let my knees (my right one has been bugging me since I started this) and what-not catch up to where I am cardiovascularly. Hadnt really thought of it like that. It pains me greatly to think of slowing down but I guess things could be worse. Such smart people on MFP!!
  • Lazy? I think NOT!! I run 4 miles on a treadmill and Ive burned 600+ calories. I say be proud, youre doing it!
