It all comes down to portion control. I eat all the yummy foods I love but rather than eating half a pizza, I'll eat one or 2 slices. Plus I may take a quick 15 minute walk just to gain a few calories back. In order to keep the weight off long term its more about learning how to eat, not what to eat. Good luck!

I was planning on doing a breast cancer half marathon in Feb 2013 in Jacksonville, but now that you mention this one, I may check with my girl friends and see if they'd rather do Disney. Thanks for the idea.

I have found them to be off, but not significantly off. And I don't try to eat all of my exercise calories anyway so if it's off a few here and there, its no big deal. If I use a cardio machine that tracks, I'll enter those calories instead of what pops up on MFP.

This is a great question with very encouraging responses. I am usually afraid to eat my exercise calories, as it seems counter productive to me. I think I can relax a little more now and eat some of those calories if I really want / need to.

My diary is open because I think it encourages me to be more honest with myself and do the right thing. For me, this group is about accountability. If I'm not losing weight I want my friends to look at my diary and tell me its cuz I'm eating strawberry pop tarts for breakfast every morning. To each his own.

Dinner is always the perfect choice. You gotta eat, right? Plus it forces us to sit and have a conversation whereas usually we are both so busy we never really get to just talk.

Don't drink your calories! Opt for water or diet drinks and save the calories for meaningful foods like pizza and chocolate!

I'm 5'8" and my goal is 164, which is the top of the range for my height according to Weight Watchers . I have a little larger frame so 164 is perfect for me. I'm almost there and I feel great!!!
