Motivation is an easy thing to get, but very hard to keep. There are days when I don't want to exercise, when I'd rather stay in bed and not get up at 5am, but I know if I dont get up and exercise that I'll feel like crap for the day and I'll feel guilty that I didn't exercise. I am by no means an expert, but what worked for me when I started out is running for a few minutes and walking for one, then run again for 2 minutes and walk for one....then once you're comfortable with that, increase the running time by just a little (say up to 3 minutes) and walk one...keep increasing your run time once…

There is something to be said for consistency. It works.

You got this. You can do this. Just keep training and you'll cross that finish line. It doesn't matter if you're first or last, just crossing that finish line is the main goal Its an awesome feeling. One you will never forget. Just do it and enjoy the experience. You won't regret it.

I get out of my sweaty things, make a protein shake, then shower, then dress and I go off to work. If its a non-work day....same but instead of work, i go and run errands, clean house, do laundry; basically do whatever needs to be done.

I drink a glass of skim milk. It's fully of vitamins and minerals....all the good stuff. I drink about 10 big glasses of water a day. So skim milk is a nice change and its good for you.

I think you need to relax. Its your first 5 km. You're should enjoy the experience. Have fun and don't worry about your time. And listen to your body...take rest when it demands it...it will thank you for it.

I was told to put it under circuit training. According to MFP, 30 mins of circuit training burns about 163 calories. Doesn't seem to equate to the intense workout though of JM 30 Day Shred.
