  • Actually I don't think it's going to end at all. People are having too much fun.
  • Thanks so much for the suggestions. I do weigh my food and have been faithful with the logging. I try to over estimate the quick add calories because I know I'm only fooling myself if I don't. MFP syncs with my FitBit so I have to assume that they are doing their job. I use an HRM when I'm doing other cardio like…
  • You look amazing. Great work!
  • Thanks for the encouragement. I pretty much have to stick with it because if it's not going down with me watching what I do and exercising, it can only go up. So I'll stick with it. I do know I have to weight myself regularly and that can be an exercise in frustration as well, but this is the path I chose. May as well keep…
  • Thanks, Branstin. And yes, I am very meticulous about logging. Sometimes I just put in an extra calorie count to make sure I've covered all my bases. My BMR is 1373 and figuring in exercise 3 - 5 days a week my TDEE is 2128. I've heard so much about calories in/ calories out I can't believe I'm not losing weight with the…
  • Thanks for the motivation, people. I used to get so depressed weighing myself and seeing so little progress that was why I quit, but I've made the decision to log more regularly, move more often and be patient. Because little progress downward is better than more upward.
  • As a woman speeding toward 60, I am so inspired! You look amazing. Thanks for the photos.
  • Love this shot! So inspiring. You look amazing. (and the dog is kind of cute too.)
  • Very much noticeable. You look great!
  • 26 pounds in three months is amazing! You are to be congratulated. As for The Biggest Loser - this is television. They NEED dramatic results like that or people aren't going to care and if they don't care they won't watch. The reality is that weight loss is a steady, ongoing lifestyle change and you have done a fantastic…
  • Thanks for the suggestions. I'm going to check them out.
  • I have the fitbit one. I don't worry about the waterproof part. That's a pretty minor inconvenience. Just for interest's sake I wore my Heart Rate Monitor and FitBit for an entire day. The Fitbit was only about 50 - 70 calories out compared to the HRM so I am pretty pleased with the FitBit.
  • Thanks so much for the help. Appreciate it. Yes, I do eat a lot of fruit. Not much of a veggie person. And I do drink a lot of water. I work at home and am always running to the bathroom <g>. I'll look into mixing up the food part. I guess I like to eat the same thing every day because that way I don't have to think about…
  • See, ChangingAmand, That's the struggle. I'm not really losing inches. .5 off my thighs in a month doesn't seem like much for such intentional work.
  • I am measuring. I have a scale and weigh pretty much everything I eat. I'm pretty consistent about it too. Thanks.
  • Anything from Two Steps from Hell
  • Aren't you freakin' adorable and beautiful inside and out. You are an inspiration to me and to a lot of other people!
  • Awesome job. I'm inspired!
  • You'll have MORE regret about eating those 'extras' like dessert and chocolate and snacks etc, than about NOT eating those extras.
  • I was cleaning out my desk this morning and found a card I had filled out a year ago from a Beachbody product I had purchased. I had to write down my measurements and my weight. I didn't finish the program - decided I hate working from a DVD. But in May I started another exercise program - The Venus Index joined MFP and…
  • Okay, I'm having the same problem. I was losing weight and then, gained a pound and a half in one week. My daily calorie goal is 1200 calories and I am exercising twice a day, weights for 25 minutes, cardio for 45 - running and elliptical. Are you now saying I should eat those calories too? Seems kind of pointless to do…
