  • I agree on adding calories to your day. Find some foods that have protein in them to help you stay full longer. Some ideas are almonds or nuts (in moderation), yogurt with protein (check out Chobani Greek Yogurt), and some protein shakes. You have to be careful on the shakes of that is in them but I found a good on is…
  • Thanks for all the suggestions and comments. I think people forget about drinking water with so many other items on the market. I have never been a great water drinker but have a system down now to get my requirement into my body. My problem is the weekends because I'm on the go so much with the kids, cleaning or doing…
  • Hello there! I know it seems weird that you are burning that many calories by just sitting but it is true. If you want to make it simple just count the calories you burn exercising without making and adjustments. You will make yourself nuts trying to calculate everything else. Plus this is really your true calorie burn…
  • Hello and welcome!! If you can get out and go to a class that you enjoy that might get you going. You will be around people and the instructor will motivate you. For me I don't work out to my potential at home. I need to get out and do much better. Just a thought. Good luck to you. You can do it!!
  • Great and glad you are back! I have done this myself and consider myself in the zone now. I know that writing things down is the way to go and MFP makes it so easy. I obviously cannot add what I eat when I just try to add in my head, LOL! Keep it up!
  • First of all, congrats on the weight loss!!! Good for you. If you have been using the same workout routine maybe you need to change it up. Your body gets use to it and putting something new in the program may help. Good luck!
  • Phenomenal!!! Keep it up. Yes, one day at a time. Sometimes I feel like it is one hour at a time too, LOL!
  • Thanks for the reminder and yes it does make sense!! I too want to see the scale move after a hard workout from the day before but that rarely happens. I've accepted it now (although frustrating) and I have to make myself drink water. I have found now that the craving for diet coke in the afternoon is gone with no…
  • I've experienced the same thing. I don't drink that much anymore but maybe one can a week. It does dehydrate you so it counteracts your water intake for the day. I use to get headaches from not having the caffeine but if I drank enough water throughout the day (say 68-80 ounces) I didn't get any. Good luck!

  • Good for you!!! Keep it up and sometimes you lose the motivation and get off track. It doesn't matter what you did just get back on and don't look at the past and dwell on it!

  • I agree. I do both but the strength training I do has a cardio base to it. It is Body Pump and it is a Les Mills program. I do use a lot of weight for my size and I can tell you that even though I have lost weight (about 10 lbs) I have lost a lot in inches. People don't believe that I have only lost 10 lbs. I think if you…
  • OMG! That is wrong on so many counts! Good for you for pushing for a different diagnosis and YOU saved your life. Glad to see you stuck it through and lost some weight along the way.
  • A lot of times I grab a piece of fruit and slap some peanut butter on a piece of bread and eat it while I'm on my way to work. You can microwave your egg (25 secs at a time) to make scrambled eggs. Just stir every time before you restart the time. I use one whole egg, one white, and eat it with a piece of bread. If you are…
