  • I also just started Contrave ( 1.5 weeks). Doctor had me lose 10 pounds on my own first to show I was committed and recommended using MFP. The prescription is to help me keep going at the point I normally fall off the wagon. If Contrave keeps me going, I say ignore any negative remarks people have. My weight loss is more…
  • I keep coming back too. This time I WILL do it! I normally do well if I log what I eat BEFORE I eat it, and plan it out ahead. Glad your back, I feel better knowing I am not the only one that is a "repeat"
  • Love this! Potter world is just what I need to keep the motivation up! Ravenclaw please!
  • I am the same hight and in the same weight range, in my past weight loss it took 40 pounds before people really notices (down to about 255). Really stunk when shorter friends could loose 15-20 pounds and the change would be so notable ... I feel what your talking about!
  • Only my Friends on MFP know the my "real Number". My Drivers license is 30 pounds off ... LOL. We are all here for the same reason, to have support with our weight issues. Most people are super supportive and I don't care about those that are not supportive (they have other issues)!
  • I too have a skinny husband that has NEVER had to think about what he eats. They are used to seeing something they want and eating as much of it as they want. Don't take it personal, they just don't get it sometimes ... you are planning every calorie, he is just eating what he wants. Not fair but true. I agree with the 10…
  • I am in that boat! I would love to be friends, the road looks so long and lonely ... company that can relate is great! At 5'10.5" I figure I will never be a small woman, but I would like to get to a weight that I at least feel comfortable in my skin :-)
  • I really like the idea of "released" pounds rather than "lost" pounds! I Will use that! I have now almost released 20 pounds (now I Will not find what I have lost.) Great idea.
  • Thanks for all the great advise and support. I now have an even greater motivation ... after 6 months being unemployed it looks like I have a good chance at being a state wildlife officer (game warden). Ans Will have to attend tje police academy at 280 pounds this is going to be tough. Just hope weigh does not knoknock me…
  • I am 5'11" and 282, want to get to 175, Wii fit says I need to be 147. For now that seems unreasonable fory bone structure. I like the mirror and my body will tell me when I hit the magic number :-)
  • I too am back again, having gained back all but 10 pounds. At 41, I feel different... this time I am not dropping like I once could. But it seems more important than it used to ... where did the shoulder and knee pain come from? Never had it in my 30's. This time we can make it together!
  • 2 years since I originally joined MFP, and I gained back most of what I lost. Started again at 289 and in one week I am down to 282.8. Progress! I am motivated again, and due to "downsize" I have time. Fingers crossed this time is the last time I see these numbers!
