  • This is a really cool tool. However, it is a little disheartening that the program cannot even accept my highest weight... It has a max of 330 for my age/gender/height etc. It's one more reminder of how out of control I was.
  • I had a NSV on just this the other day. I wanted a treat so I got one of those Mcdonalds Sundaes. I ate a few bites to satisfy the taste and threw the rest out. I NEVER would have thrown any out presurgery. This time the majority went in the trash. In the past I probably would have licked the bowl clean.
  • I definitely have the ketosis breath. I find that chewing sugar free gum or having a sugar free hard candy will help. I also find that drinking through the day is more important post surgery instead of getting in all of your water in the morning and then not worrying about it. One thing for anyone right out of surgery…
  • I've started making the weight watchers crustless pumpkin pie again. It's so good. Especially if you add more pumpkin pie spice and cinnamon to it. Plus it's smooth enough to use on the puree and soft stage too! With the splenda the carbs are super low and you get a little protein bump with the egg beaters and evap. milk.…
  • Hello I assumed based in everyone's comments that two weeks was sufficient. While I'm not in pain anymore, I am still off work on week three and not intending to rush back full time until week five, which is what my Dr. Gives. My job allows for work from home flexibility, so I am doing about 2-4 hours a day starting this…
  • Hi. I'm getting my surgery Aug 12th. We'll be close in stages. Feel free to friend me. Hope that everything is going well so far!
  • The one thing I noticed when I started telling people is how many knew someone else who had it. The great majority were success stories and hearing about others helped me feel less alone and a bit more normal. I'm thankful to have so many supportive people, even those who I thought would be anti surgery. The few detractors…
  • I'm scheduled for August 12th, so we will be surgery buddies. Hope that the preop diet goes well for you. Good luck with everything!
  • I am so happy and excited for you. You are truly an inspiration!! Congratulations.
  • I am very much obsessing. I just got my RNY bypass date yesterday (8-12-14) and it's only made it worse. I want to feel like I have as much information as I can. I'm one of those people that feels more in control when I have more information and so I've been allowing myself to research, make lists, buy vitamins and prepare…
  • Atkins just came out with a cafe caramel and mocha coffee protein shake. They are about 15 G protein and 3-4 g carbs, and totally delicious! I have only found the online and at wal mart. It totally satisfies my cravings...
