Anyone could go nuts on a flight. One of the few funny quotes of this story is when a reporter asked the dad if he could control his son, the dad responded that he couldn't guarantee 100% that he could control his wife.
-
Yes, really. One who wouldn't take his correct seat. There's always several who won't turn off cell phones when asked - including one who left his on for the entire flight. One who decided to stand in the aisle next to the cabin crew after being asked several times to take a seat. It's policy when it's convenient to be…

That's my point. (two points actually) He wasn't misbehaving and there are plenty who DO misbehave and aren't kicked off.

No one is asking for or expecting a 'God given right to fly on an airplane'. How about just a modicum of respect and some compassion? Is it too much to ask?
-
Puhlease. He was not agitated, was an experienced flyer and if he is 'threat' - then the airlines need to reinforce their cockpit doors. The airline also went out of their way to bar him from this flight AND placed him and his parents in the very last row in Coach class of the next flight - and made sure no one was seated…

I hear ya and have been there. I try to make a bulk batch and keep them on hand. 8/10 times I can talk everyone down from the McDonalds ledge. We used to go 3-4 times a week. Sitting in a hospital waiting room makes you re-evaluate.

Who cares what the process is. Try these instead: http://allrecipes.com/recipe/baked-chicken-nuggets/

...but wait... there's more then they take the lovely chicken, dip it in batter and throw it in a deep fryer, replacing all the water with artery-clogging oil Source: the nutritionist who schooled my husband after he had a heart attack at age 40

Same here. I just thought this is how a period is supposed to be - didn't know any better. Took many, many years to start asking questions and doing research! The lose weight and eat right was in response to avoiding prolapse after having a hysterectomy. I didn't have much of a choice about having my hysterectomy.…
-
Prolapse can be an issue once the uterus is removed. Research that as well. I talked about this with my GYN and that's part of the reason I am on this website - to avoid it, he suggested reducing my weight and exercising (surprise) - especially keeping the abdominal muscles strong. And, eat more fiber to reduce the chance…

Similar circumstances here. My second child is autistic and has Turner's Syndrome (genetic disorder). I was pregnant with my third when my second was diagnosed. I chose to continue on with the pregnancy knowing he could have problems (he's 17 and only issue is being a teenager!). But, I knew for a fact I didn't want any…

No difference in sex life here. If anything, not having massive amounts of blood and clots falling out me, being a massive b*tch due to incredible cramping, exhausted from blood loss, and being 'out of commission' for a week to ten days out of every month has made our sex life and LOVE life even better. If I do say so…

Let me just say, I am not advocating hysterectomy in any way. It's just my personal story. It worked for me. My one, little pink ovary-that-could has been pluggin away for almost 7 years post-op. I have a little smiley-face bikini line scar that healed and faded nicely. I agree with everyone else here who says research,…

You are younger than I was and w/slightly different issues. If I had known, I would have done mine before age 40. I tried to tell myself that the heavy periods weren't that bad and I could deal with it - as they continued to get worse and ruin my life. The term 'hysterectomy' competely freaked me out. My mom had one (early…

This may be TMI, but here goes. I was put in a similar position when I was about 38 due to endometriosis. I already had 3 children and spent 5 years dealing with super-heavy periods (horrifying-ly heavy), massive clotting, cramps - just a mess. My GYN recommended a hysterectomy because of all the issues and because I…

I bow to your awesome-ness. :drinker:

No tv here either. Never missed it and couldn't stand being indoors! We did get to see a lot of movies though. AND - I got to watch Jaws when it first came out.

I was there in the 70's, but usually the only people who have every heard of the place are vets who served in WWII. The island was retaken from the Japanese as the US stormed across the Pacific in WWII.
-
I had a fantastic childhood growing up on a teeny, tiny island (3 miles long, 1/2 mile wide) called Kwajalein in the Marshall Islands in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Yokwe!

loose --> lose See? you already lost something - off to a good start :-) *just teasin'*

I will be 47 in one month. It's definitely harder and slower, but you can do it. Get your butt moving every day. It doesn't have to be to the point of exhaustion or hurting. Take a walk, do some yoga, pull weeds in the garden, stretch, swim, do planks, sit-up, lift some weights, use resistance bands - anything. Just keep…

I am my own boss. So, I work at home and annoy myself. :grumble:
-
If the fat under my arms flaps any more, I will knock myself out.
-
^^ this - coupled with the fact that my 'locust' boy is gonna be a junior in high school and wants to look good for the 'chicks'! He has started working out and has made some incredible changes to his diet healthy snacks, bite-sized, ready to go, fruit, veggies, etc - have to agree with the above posters. It may seem odd,…

I have three. Most of the time I want them too.
-
Ok. Pity party over. Good breakfast & lunch - check. Workout w/weights and good dinner - planned. ;-)
-
Sorry, walked into a small 'doomed to be fat' pity party-for-one and needed a slap upside the head. Thanks! ;-)

I'm 46 and have told my husband several times he can trade me in for (2) 23 yr olds if he wants. Just gimme a couple days notice. He said he's put in 24 years already, might was well stick around to see what happens. ;-)
