I'm 5'5.5", and am currently at 121.5 lbs. I feel great at this size and am beginning to lift and up my calories to build muscle. I think your goal weight (even at the same height) largely depends on your frame.

IMO, self-esteem and confidence come from within. Perhaps you should work on changing your perspective. Losing weight doesn't necessarily make people love themselves or their bodies. Best of luck to you on your journey.

I'm not a competitive runner, so forgive me if this is not allowed or encouraged in races -- could you wear a hydration pack? I have a 52 oz. Camelbak that I wear for outdoor jogs. You wouldn't have to worry about stopping if you carried your own water with you.

I measure everything -- and I really do mean everything! It helps a lot since I really don't trust my own estimations. I'm always off by a little bit, even if I'm close, and I want to be certain about what I am eating. Our kitchen scale was $20 at Bed, Bath, and Beyond, and I love it…

Definitely get fitted at a running store! Getting the right shoes has been so helpful for me and for my hubby. It can be a bit pricey (we paid ~$115 for each pair), but it's so worth it.

I'm 5'5.5", 124 lbs., size 2/4 for dress/pants, and S or XS top -- it depends on the brand!

I make my own avocado concoction that my hubby dubbed "guacasalsa" -- put half an avocado in a bowl, cover with salsa, and mash to your heart's content. I eat it with tortilla chips or just by itself with a spoon. Mmmmmmm... Now I want some! I also love avos plain with some salt and pepper, in guacamole, or on sandwiches…

Green and red peppers! Cucumbers are amazing. Grape/cherry tomatoes! Avocados! Edamame! For a yummy snack, I eat frozen peas before they thaw -- the texture is different, and I LOVE the cold. :) I hope you find something you enjoy.
