Turning 51 today, this is my second week on MFP. Kids are grown and now it’s time for ME. Time to start making healthier food choices and being active. I have committed to walking 10K steps per day and I am here to loose weight and motivate others.

You want brutal honesty.....Stop being so selfish and think about your children. If you don't want to get healthy and live a long happy life for yourself than at least do it for your kids. They deserve a Mother! Get rid of the junk food in your house and start making healthier choices NOW, before its too late. Best of Luck!

That's fantastic gagueen127, I am in a weight loss challenge at work. Every Monday we all weigh in and then I send out the % of weight loss so far for each person along with some sort of little fact, recipe etc... It's surprising how many people still don't know about MFP, I love it! Keep up the great work!

I was using the Green Coffee Bean for about a month, I think it helped. I am now using a different product, GNC Women's Ultra Mega® Energy and Metabolism. It's too early to comment really, but I do find I have more energy than I did before.

Your diary looks good, 2 things...... Don't foget to log your water intake and also if I can make one recommendation instead of partially skim milk you might want to try almond milk or soy milk. They have alot less calories. Best of Luck!

Well MFP is definitely a great place to start if you want to lose weight. I would recommend you start my logging EVERYTHING you eat each day. You will quickly see how fast those calories add up. Make sure you drink plenty of water, for me this is the most difficult but the key to losing weight. As far as exercising if you…

I am 5'5" ,175 lbs and 45 yrs old, my BMR says 1440 but I stay around 1200 calories a day.
