Thank you! I completely understand though. It makes finding pants that fit an absolute nightmare! I just wanted a pair of jeans to actually fit!

No, I just started eating better and adding more strength training and removing excessive cardio :)

My sitting BMF RMR is almost exactly the same as my sleeping BMR! Both are right around 1670. Ridiculous! I know the BodyMedia fit company looks at these message boards. It would be nice to hear them weigh in on this.

I just got mine tested as well and my RMR is also higher than online formulas calculate for my age, height and weight. How did you adjust your device (Body Media/ Go wear fit) so it was correct for you? I feel my device reads too low as well. Thank you!

If you can get past the smell and the texture then..they are stil disgusting!

This is a great thread. As women, we get so focused on the number on the scale...myself included. It was not until I started adding strength training did I start to see the biggest difference in body recomposition. The picture on the the left, I am 169 lbs. In the picture on the right, I am about 160 lbs. Not much of a…

To the OP, i understand it can be overwhelming when trying to figure out the right direction to take in regards to fitness. Some of the responses you have received here are completely rude and unacceptable. You should not be shamed or made to feel bad because you dared to ask a question. Getting healthy can be a challenge…

I have the Bodymedia fit (same as the body bug, except not marketed by 24 hour fitness) and did not take it off for 3 months. I learned that the bodymedia was not very good at detecting the burned calories for things that did not use a lot of forward movement. It did a poor job of detecting activities like the eliptical or…

I recently bought the "EatSmart Precision GetFit Digital Body" from Amazon.com The scale was rated extremely well so I decided to give it a shot. I love it. After you set up your profile, all you have to do is stand on the scale and it recognizes you.

1) Feeling strong 2) Looking strong 3) So I can eat more!

I just want to make sure that i am not going to bulk up at all by eating at TDEE. Thank you so much for your input and help!

Wow...that article is confusing but I am gussing the gist is that although weight will not change, body composition will, causing a change in body shape in the smaller direction. Thanks!!
-
Holley.. that is great! I have been driving my self crazy trying to figure out calories for weight loss. I need a break! lol
-
So you do not think I will gain muscle but not lose any fat? In other words If eating at TDEE,, my clothes should not get tighter due to a gain in muscle but no loss in fat?
-
Anyone? Anyone who ate at TDEE while doing NROLFW maybe?
-
I agree, 60-90 seconds is necessary if you are pushing yourself hard.

This is so awesome to hear! I had a similar experience after going on vacation this past summer. Metabolism reset is an awesome thing!

I am actually going to get both my VO2 and RMR tested using the whole oxygen mask thing on Monday. I will then know for sure what my actual RMR is and how my calories should work around it. I am very excited!!

I think she is saying that 1750 is her cut. If you were going to do a reset you would want to eat at your TDEE, which you said was around 1900.
