Looking for a new scale my current one is 2-3 years old and just seems like it is getting a little tweaky. I never invested any though in a scale before because i wasnt serious about my goals. Id like to get one that is good and accurate but would also like to avoid a gigantic pricetag. Any thoughts?

I got my digital scale off of Amazon. I really like it. The brand is Ozeri, which I have never heard of before but it works really well. I think I got it with shipping for $20. I had to make sure the scale I bought would weigh over 300 lbs.

I got mine at walmart for $40, so a little pricey, but it tells body fat %, BMI, and stores your info, like previous weight, goal weight, how many lbs till you get to your goal weight. Things like that, and I love it, until it runs outta batteries and you have to do it all over again!!

Can you replace the batteries or do you have to buy a new one after!?

Curious... I need a new one soon and I plan on a digital one that counts body fat % whenever I do get one!

Amazon makes everything cheaper, if you shop online at walmart/target you can also get cheaper prices.

I have a Taylor digital scale from Target that cost about $30 and weighs accurately up to 440 lbs. Love it!

I recently bought the "EatSmart Precision GetFit Digital Body" from Amazon.com The scale was rated extremely well so I decided to give it a shot. I love it. After you set up your profile, all you have to do is stand on the scale and it recognizes you.

Oh yeah, it takes 4 AA's, just it loses all your info!!

I've been thinking about the fitbit scale that syncs with your computer, but it cost $126. I'm trying to decide if it is worth it or a waste of money. Anyone have any opinions on this?

    Mine was £25 (about $35?)

It has up to 8 profiles. you input your age, gender, height etc. Then it measures weight accurately (i've checked against some old fashioned balance scales) and does Body fat % and water %. I dont listen to the water bit and im pretty sure the body fat calculation is just based on the simple calculation looking at your weight against your input details

The only thing I like about digital scales is it tells you that you are 140.2 or 140.8.... However, for me I like the old scales with just the needle. I get frustrated because I want to see every point loss but at least with the old scale I know it will be more accurate. I did have a weight watchers scale ($20 at Walmart) and it worked well for me for a long time in college until I broke it in a move. I just don't understand how a scale knows your body fat % so to me that is a waste because I would always be thinking if it is really right or not....

I also bought the EatSmart Precision scale off of Amazon. I think it was right at $29 and qualified for free shipping. It came in 2 days and I love it. I got really great reviews on Amazon and it sounds like the company stands behind their product.

    thanks for the advice
  • I have a Taylor digital scale from Meijer that was about $30 as well. It's supposedly the "Biggest Loser" scale or has something about Biggest Loser on it. I just bought it because it was the nicest one for the price I wanted. Works just fine for me and comes with it's own limited warranty.

Mine is a weight watcher's brand, I got it at Bed, Bath & Beyond. I can't remember how much it cost, somewhere around $30.
