I take a multi because I know I don't eat perfectly every day, or get in every vitamin every day. I don't really notice a difference. You don't necessarily have to spend more money for a good one. I would just recommend finding a brand that has the USP (United States Pharmacopeia) Stamp on it. This means it's gone through…

Google the Therapeutic Lifestyle Changes (TLC) Eating Plan. Here's the link to the PDF http://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/files/docs/public/heart/chol_tlc.pdf. Yes, I know it's the government and they can't be trusted (I kid), but the TLC is a good guide to follow. Good luck!

Overeaters Anonymous (OA) is a real thing. Google OA groups in your area and I'm sure you'll find a couple. They have meetings in-person, telephonically, and some times online. Talk therapy (with a counselor or therapist) is also helpful. I also find exercise helps manage anxiety and stress. AND helps to burn some the…

Yum! Thanks for the ideas!!

I agree with find a new therapist and maybe instead of a MFP group, try an "overeaters anonymous" or other disordered eating group with a moderator that knows how to guide you.

"how'd you lose weight?/how'd you do it?" (e.g. in success threads)
-
What if you focused less on the weight and more on the behavior as a "mini goal"? Like I will exercise 3 x a week for 45 min or I will stay within calories. That might help you establish/maintain healthy habits that may lead to weight loss. I get crazy when I focus too much on the weight loss itself. Hope that makes sense.

My guess is either dehydrated or you had a bit of a sugar crash (not enough fuel in the tank before class). Happened to me a couple months ago.

I'm trying to lose the last 10lbs too, but find it's very hard to maintain even 1500 cals a day. I really have a hard time not overeating on the weekend, even with a planned cheat day. Keep working at it - you will reach your goal!! :)

Order online at Amazon. Should be about $25 for 12.

HRMs aren't very accurate for HIIT, but you can try getting one and maybe under estimate?

Could be genetics. Or, maybe you had a bowl of pasta or alcohol the night before? I've also seen people have high TRIGS when they switch to juicing or daily smoothies. High TRIGS is typically caused by increase carb/sugar intake. I'm sure everything will return back to normal at your follow up  Keep up the great…

Quinoa has a nutty flavor to it...at least that's how I would describe it.

Nope, it doesn't. A pound of muscle weighs the same as a pound of fat. BUT muscle IS more dense, so you can fit more in a small amount of space, therefore it may increase your weight with the more muscle you put on :) Muscle is pretty awesome.
-
Yes, I've experienced this. My weight has maintained, but I can tell I've put on more muscle. I can flex and actually SEE the muscle. My clothing fits better because I am losing INCHES rather than weight. This is where the tape measure is helpful to track progress.
-
The scale isn't always the most accurate measurement of progress. You could measure yourself with measuring tape to track your progress. Just a side note: everyone needs strength training/resistance training, cardio and flexibility in their routine. Strength and resistance training is especially important to maintain…

The first cruise I went on I gained 7lbs (oops). The 2nd one I went on, I was more prepared and only gained a pound (I was pretty proud of myself). Best suggestions: ALWAYS take the stairs no matter how tired you are. Use the gym daily (even just for 20 minutes!). I also found that if I ate at the scheduled dinner dining…

4 cats here! 3 black: (black) Sabbath, (black) Adder, (black) Cherry and one white with some brown/white/greyish spots named Rabbit. My husband hated cats until we got Sabbath. Now he's a crazy cat lady too :)

First, HIIT doesn't have to be done on the treadmill. You can make any exercise into a HIIT workout. But, if you must use the treadmill, I would say go as fast as YOU can. Add incline if that makes the workout harder. HIIT is supposed to be hard, but it's also supposed to train your body to recover quickly. So, if you can…
