Slow and steady weight loss.

Check out Jamie Eason's Live Fit. It's a 12 week program and intense. You don't need a trainer. I'm in week 8 and seeing great results !

I had bmi of 31 with 2nd and they told me not to eat under 2000 cals. However I tried to stay around that number. Try keeping your carbs to 45 per meal. Research the gestational diabetes diet. I had to do it anyway with my 1st so I figure it can't hurt. I would talk to your dr though to see if they have specific…

I'm a mom of 2, only 15 months apart so it was pretty terrible on my body. I'm down 30 lbs from my 2nd with about 20lbs left to lose to be "comfortable". My youngest is 10 months old so I feel like I'm finally able to fit comfortably in most of my clothes. I have one more drawer left to conquer! It's been a long journey…

Yes, that was what I was planning to do.

Thanks everyone! I made an appt with my dr and opened my diary :). I know I shouldn't have had a drink tonight but I wanted to kick back a bit! I also decreased my cals by 250. I had been eating 1500 in the fall. In the summer I was at 1200 but eating back lots of exercise calories. Nutritionist recommended 1800 and I've…

I did that in January. They said my thyroid activity was normal.

If you're losing weight, then it's enough. It's when you stop, that you need to question what you're doing. Keep it up and don't let roadblocks get you down momma!

As someone who had gestational diabetes and followed that diet, I would start logging foods and just seeing how many carbs are in them. Too much fat can also mess with your sugar- not sure exactly why. But I was told no red meat and low-fat cheese. As a pregnant woman, I was allowed 45 carbs per meal and then 2-15 carb…

I have a Polar too, an M52. It's super old and still kicking.

With each pregnancy I've used Mederma Stretch Mark cream. It's $35 about with a printable coupon from their website and I only needed one tube for my stomach. You may need more if you have more space to cover, but the stretch marks turned white both times by the end of the tube.

Good idea :-)

I personally try to avoid sugar free because a lot of them contain aspartame. I've heard xylitol is ok and there are more natural sweeteners out there but often not in the things you buy- more like add this packet to your coffee.

Another thought too- I got pregnant Memorial Day weekend and Labor day weekend lol. And it was not for lack of sex during other times. Have a glass of wine and have fun !

I made sure I didn't buy anything else and I cleaned out my house. Luckily most of the stuff was at my parents' house. I also worked out at least 30 minutes a day to put me back in the mindset. I'm hoping that the 3 lbs I gained in one weekend will dissipate in the coming week.

Usually it's maintenance or maybe a little over.
-
Demwitted- I eat all of those things but artificial sweeteners and I sneak some xylitol which is in Trident every so often since doc said it was ok. Cheese is alright as long as it's from pasteurized milk, which is most of the cheese in US. Don't know where you are though. I heat up cold cuts for 45 seconds in the…

I exercise. I try to not create an eat/binge cycle but the only way I know how to deal with it is to exercise and make-up those calories the best I can. I also try to keep food in the house that is better to binge on. The other day I ate 75 cherries lol but it was only 300 calories.

Lately I want ham and cheese sandwiches lol. My cravings seem to change every week but lately salt has been very satisfying too. Last pregnancy I couldn't stand salad and now I have one everyday :-)
-
Wow sorry about your experience there. I've only been on MFP and WTE although WTE can get really heated sometimes too. We're here for you :-)
-
Can you estimate, go to the bathroom and enter it there?
-
I don't think you should be concerned. As long as you are eating healthy and a good amount of calories, you're fine. Make sure you're taking your multivitamin too.

I have a BMI of 30 and my dr wants me to aim for 10 lbs. I gained 30 with my 1st and had gd so i'm hoping for the best here with the lower weight gain this time. Last time I wasn't counting calories like I am now.

Easier said than done about the no stress but it really does help. There are cheaper ovulation kits on amazon.com that you can get as well if you're on a time frame.
-
I'm 15 weeks and have been oscillating between being down a pound and even with my starting weight. I've been eating maintenance calories and will continue to do so bc of my gd risk. Dr doesn't want me gaining more than 10 pounds :( Hoping I won't start gaining until at least week 20 to stay on track for the pregnancy. I'm…
-
OMG congrats Heather ! Good for you for sticking in there and doing it your way :-)
-
Kspool- my dr actually told me not to eat more than maintenance for the entire pregnancy. But I gained 1 pound this week so I'm starting to wonder if that is too much. It's a big change for you this far in the pregnancy but you might find you feel better and have more energy when you cut back.

Welcome Derek ! My husband put on weight with #1 as well :-)
