I just came back to MFP a few days ago. I just had my second child 8 months ago and it’s time to lose the baby weight I’ve gained.

In reading your post my first thought was "Oh crap! I hope it's not me!" I'm also returning to the group as well Jerber160. I have just fell away from MFP, need to get back AND STAY on track. You are right to question scripture. We ALL are. That is why our faith is called FAITH! Believing without never fully knowing…

Yes indeed! I love the Pope tweets! I also like the fact that he did not hesitate to take selfies with the young people. http://ncronline.org/blogs/ncr-today/pontifex-and-sabbathselfies

From looks of your beautiful headshot, you are already a hot 48-year-old! Beautiful smile, eyes and I love your skin tone! Welcome to MFP and you'll definitely get the support you need here. Stay strong for your girls  They are watching you now more than ever to see how you handle negativity from someone you love.…

I like to keep my Christmas decorations up as long as possible. Sometimes even past Epiphany, but for the most part I take my decorations down sometime in January. Unrelated side note: I love it when atheists have a CHRISTmas tree in their house. God reaches all

As a counselor at a major university in California, my heart goes out to all of the children, families, friends and communities affected by this tragedy. What bothers me the most is that the media is so quick to point the finger at some entity to blame instead of focusing on how to help. Don't crucify me, but my personal…

I love St. Elizabeth Ann Seton! She did so much for the nursing and medical community. I wish more people knew about the role of her and other amazing Catholic saints in the medical industry.

Amen to both of you! I totally agree. God did not make us to be dutiful, obedient, robots. God made us PEOPLE with raw emotion and the power to exercise free will. To answer your atheist friend, I would say something list this... "Well it turned out great for me, because I recognize what's happening here is only temporary.…

Well, I think when you give out gratitude daily to others, it opens you up to receiving more gratitude in your life. If you want more thanks and praise in your own life, then give it out to others generously. I believe this teaches us to recognize gratitude easily and be thankful for the small stuff. Just today for example…

I have read the Catechism of the Catholic Church, but even that is not black and white - especially if you take into consideration the version you read. I've read the version my Grandmother had from the 1970's and compared it with a Second Edition online version from 2003:…

You hit the nail on the head with this. What could be looked at as sad, looks pretty interesting to me. Some people need to hear their faith in the "English" mass and others in "Spanish." There are still churches where I live that offer the Latin mass. I just look at it as another way that the Lord is trying to reach ALL…

I'm so pleased to see the responses on this thread! My initial point with this post is that we all know that the Catholic church has rules, regulations, doctrine BUT how these are interpreted is different because of the catechesis we received at the time period we received it and that's okay because we are all God's…

May God bless you, Sue and your family. *hugs*

This is beautiful and so desperately needed. It really is taking time to take care of the basics that will make life (and weight loss) easier.

Thanks Olgamarie_t for sharing! That is awesome!

Amen brother! It is not a black or white issue. I think it depends on the kind of Catholic you are. If you are a Catholic that believes your faith to be very "black OR white" then don't do Yoga. If you are a Catholic that believes your faith to be "black AND white" then do Yoga. It's all of a matter of perspective.

What do you call a seminarian? An expectant Father!

I LOVE......Disneyland  I HATE.......negative people :grumble:

Amen Sister! I couldn't agree with you more. I work one full-time government job and a part-time dance instructor job. However I'm toying with the idea of treating MFP more like Facebook

Remember, nothing is impossible for God :) That is what makes our Lord so great! God can handle ANYTHING, even silly web pictures.

I don't understand why we can't just celebrate both. Yes, the Church may not agree LGBT community in regards to the marriage debate, but what it all really boils down to is that we (like the LGBT community) are all HUMANS, created in the image of God. This photo adds a touch of humor to the subject:…

My junk in the trunk! I like my butt!

Kris you are beautiful and I admire that you were bold enough to share your true feelings in thread like this. It's not easy to do that and it's not easy to apologize, but you did both - that's very brave. I'm sure all of us have felt a little jealous at times. I know I sure have. Thank you for being real and apology…

Wow! What great (and respectful) discussions! I hope this is helping you get some insights Andrea9873! Looks like this group is divided on the topic but at least you have more information to go off of.

Hi CandiHurliman: Wow! That is really interesting! Did he always practice with a Yoga Guru? The type of yoga I do doesn't involve a guru. Do you think all yoga goes against the churches teachings or are some yoga styles harmless? Just curious to know more of your thoughts. Thank you for sharing! Peace be with you
