CONGRATULATIONS! Working out is one of my favorite forms of self care and comfort. It kicks comfort food's butt almost any day. GOOD FOR YOU! Charmagne

Pack a gym bag. Go right from work to the gym. I usually have a snack sometime in the afternoon so I'm not ravenous by the time I get home. Charmagne

I eat a bunch of times throughout the day. Samples of the items I bring to work include: - Make Egg Bake (message me for the recipe), cut into 6 servings and reheat at the office. - Greek Yogurt with cinnamon and sugar free maple syrup - Turkey, humus and bean sprout roll ups - String Cheese and an apple - 28 roasted,…

I've been binging again. I've not gained any weight, but what I'm doing is still binging (2 cookies can be a binge if those cookies are eaten from 'that place' in myself). Instead of trying to stop binging I'm making room for the part of myself who is binging. When I try to squash her and prevent her from expressing…

Frozen salmon, defrosted, coated in whatever and baked at 400 degrees for 15 minutes. Quick and delicious! I usually coat it in dill, salt and pepper before baking and serve with my favorite veggies. Charmagne

I order the beef pho (beef noodle soup). I eat the beef, beef ball, beef tendon and tripe (you can get beef-only, but I like all the beefy deliciousness), drink all the broth, dump all the bean sprouts they bring 'on the side' into my soup and eat those and I charge myself about 300 calories. The soup comes LOADED with…

I'm a recovering emotional eater/binge eater/food addict/food abuser. You are not alone and you CAN over come this issue. One day at a time. Geneen Roth's Books 'Women Food and God' and 'Breaking Free from Emotional Eating' have been LIFE CHANGING for me. Through the teachings of these books I have lost nearly 100lbs and…

Update: Made this again last night. The store didn't have any zucchini so I omitted it. Substituted feta cheese for cheddar and artichokes for peppers. This variation is quite nice with a little hot sauce. Inspired to try blue cheese or gorgonzola and different veg (like spinach). Nice that this recipe is SO easy, SO…

Everyone is different but I operate at my best when I eat primarily fat, protein and veg with moderate fruit. Many people can also incorporate 'good', 'slow burning' or 'unrefined' carbs into their diets, but I find these foods do not keep me full. When I'm truly satisfied from good fats and protein rich foods, I don't…

Everyone is different and free meals/free days are always a hot topic of discussion. Each person needs to do what is right for them :) THAT said, I take a free meal or a free day whenever the need arises. Since they are part of what I consider a healthy lifestyle, I don't consider them 'cheating'. Usually once a week we…

Everyone is different, but I operate at my best when eating a diet primarily of fat, protein, veg and moderate fruit. I find that I am more obsessive about food when I'm not eating enough fat (i.e.: when I buy tilapia, I need to cook it in olive oil or butter or make sure I eat a few tbs of almond butter after my meal).…

I noticed right away. I felt better, had more energy, my mood improved, my outlook on life improved, I slept better, my face looked less puffy... The world noticed after 50lbs. Charmagne

Doing what you love will lead to success because you will actually do something if you love it. Walking is great exercise and one of the many that I incorporate into my fitness routine (Variety keeps me motivated). Charmagne

This totally happens to my fingers and toes! I call it 'dead finger' or 'dead toe' depending on which appendage is afflicted. It's so freaky because they turn completely white and it happens INSTANTLY. Charmagne

The book Women Food and God by Geneen Roth is a great read if you suffer from food addiction. The book was life changing for me. Here's an excerpt from Oprah.com: http://www.oprah.com/health/An-Excerpt-from-Geneen-Roths-Women-Food-And-God YOU CAN OVERCOME THIS ADDICTION!!! Charmagne

I understand your concern over not hurting her feelings, but if your children were to get hurt or sick while over at her house, that would hurt YOUR feelings. Not sure what the most delicate way to say 'no' is, but I recommend you continue to do so for the safety of your kids. Charmagne

What a smart way to honor your hunger and your body. CONGRATULATIONS! Charmagne

Maybe, but it's so low that I just consider it 'free'. Some people log every calorie (and everyone has to do what is right for them), but I know I didn't gain my weight by drinking too much black coffee. Or from putting too much salsa on my food. Or from eating too many steamed veggies. Charmagne
