OP - this is such a wonderful post...so honest and well explained. I don't have this issue but my BF does. All people are different. I can do moderation and be fine......I believe my BF struggles in his mind like you mentioned. I do think that you must do what works for you. Clearly moderation does not work for you at this…

Some of my choices are not always ideal but with in my calories. I travel at least once a month and sometimes its to remote areas where there is not much around other than chains off exits. Most dine in places will accomidate salad options - if you ask. And I have considered keeping my own dressing for moments that I need…

You look great! What a huge change.

I can give you my experience. I have been on paxil (poison) for almost 6 tears. I started weening February 2012 from 20 mgs to 10mgs - I dropped in small precentages (5-10% using a pill splitter every 4-6 weeks).....even what the doctors recommend its TOO quick - paxil side effects are awful if not taken slow enough. Once…

My last weight gain was 6lbs during my period - it was awful. I lost the weight with in a week but now altogether in 3 weeks I've lost nothing :( I am having a hysterectomy in 2 weeks. Leaving one ovary though. I dread it but cannot wait to not deal with this crap anymore!

Yes I eat there a couple times a week, usually the english muffin and egg whites with cheese. The first couple months on MFP I utilized Subway A LOT - it helped me track my intake as well I took advantage of all the veggie options and my sodium intake is also in check......and I've lost weight - win win to me. As far as…

I love this thread! I do nothing OR I reward with food....not the greatest goal as I think about it. Love the ideas of money and purchasing something great once reaching goals.

I think many people are content with where they are and have never felt or researched enough to possibly improve their own lifestyle (they may not need too). Families and food = love to so many and I dont always feel people are doing because they are jealous, when many times, they just don't get your goals or why you are…

Tators! I only eat a serving unless I can afford to have extra but I never fry them :)

That does happen - but they are propbably feeling the same about you just with a different mind set... Good friendships are hard to find and if these are good friends aside from the fact their eating habits differ..I would work around what you can. Tell them how you feel.

I was stuck recently for weeks. Not sure if this will help but I increased my water, protein and fresh veg and stuck to my 1200 calories. When life is in a rutt our bodies are affected. Hopefully you can work on your personal issues so you can get motivated again! Hang in there.

I now love the spice isle at the market! There are a lot of things you can add calorie free.

Agree - I have had graves for 20 years. I was lucky not to have major weight gain until a few years ago. I went and had my dose safely increased while being checked for other factors that could be affected. Graves disease after many years has other affects to your health, the best thing I can say is research foods and…

A couple questions. Does your GF have graves disease? This is an auto immune disease that will NOT ever go away but can be treated with radiation/surgery or medication. What do you mean failing? Without seeing a doctor and getting on medication or having the issue monitored it will only get worse..... as well lead into…
