Did atkins a few years ago, lost a little over 100 lbs. Then it just stopped working. Started counting calories and was able to eat a lot of foods I couldn't before. Then lost 100 more.

yes, several times. at first it was 250 lbs. when i hit it I set it at for 229.4 lbs so i could say i lost 200lbs. now I'm shooting for 214.6lbs so i can say i've lost 50%. and i think my final goal after that will be 210lbs.

I started out at super obese with a BMI of 55.1. You've already lost 49lbs, awesome job! Just keep at it. It adds up quickly over time. I've lost 30lbs since january and when i look back it seems like january wasn't that long ago.

I lost 127 lbs before i found MFP, and 98 lbs since for a total of 205.4 lbs! My doctor recommended surgery, and I even had a consultation set up, but at that time I had never had any surgery and I chickened out. had all 4 wisdom teeth removed earlier this morning. Can't have anything hot, so i've had a zaxbys banana pudding shake for late lunch, and a large wendy's frost for supper, 1335 cals but not much of an appetite and the cold feels good. and thats prob all i will eat today.
