Dang...didn't realize that rest days don't count. Well at least they count to my training, and to my calories burned.
-
Apologies to team 4....all of my rides have been MTB so far this week (including today's yet to be posted); which generally means less mileage. Hoping to get in some road kilometres this week...
-
334 is GREAT!! (Kinda Tony the Tiger ish....)
-
Throw me in somewhere if there is room. http://app.strava.com/athletes/1305254
I am using TDEE - it is around 2060, hence the 1560 daily goal.
Ah, makes more sense.
-
Wow...this is a great tool! Thanks for sharing!
-
I am totally guessing but at 1560kcal I would assume you are not using TDEE.
-
I use Strava, as a tool for training. I don't get so caught up in the challenges, or the KOMs. I race MTB as a hobby, but have a road bike and a CX to train for MTB. I use the Cyclemeter app on my iPhone, then share the data with Strava later...and track my caloric intake and expenditure (as well as macros), on MFP.

http://app.strava.com/activities/92596531 2 points...over half on true mountain bike double track and single track...
-
This works great for me...I put on the studded tires and MTB right through the winter!
-
Ok I'm in!
-
TBY this is an awesome post!! Thank you. I have always posted my results using my HRM calories because I could never make sense of Strava's calculations...

Check out this site... http://thefitnessrecipes.com/?cat=10

Mine is www.riotonracing.com Very much tongue-in-cheek, somewhat juvenile, attempts to be humorous, about me and my friends exploits to be better riders and racers.
-
The RAAM videos are awesome!! Deeply motivational, and inspiring! I am following a 'local' rider, on Strava, who is competing solo (his third go at it) this year.
-
I use an iphone4S with Wahoo fitness app which uploads to Strava with a single click. I have tried other apps, and have found this one the best option.
-
I am in Canada. Confirmed MTBer but also do plenty of road to train for MTB! www.riotonracing.com
-
I have had a trunk rack and a hitch rack....and I far, far prefer the hitch rack. (I have lost a bike off of a trunk rack!).
-
Unfortunately that is the same day as my Spring 8 Hour Mountain Bike race.
-
1342km = 834 miles. Mix of Mountain Bike and Road. Does not include many hours on the turbo trainer.
-
Hammer products dont agree with my stomach. I prefer to keep electrolytes in my bottle...then gels for food. My favorite gels are Clif Vanilla, and Vega Sport.
-
Yikes! 60psi seems massive to me! But I don't really ride my MTB on the road. Depends if 26 or 29 also.
-
I have the Topeak Joe Blow Turbo...very happy with it. Up to 160psi (11bar), and the gauge is at the top of the pump...easier for us old guys to see. :) And it has the smart head so will work on presta and Schraeder

Perfect Nutrition's Perfect Whey...sweetened with Stevia

If you really want to zone out whie on the trainer check out the sufferfest videos at www.thesufferfest.com They will really help you to keep pace and the time flies by...they also have great soundtracks in the videos.
-
That is very cool. Of course, it comes out just after I buy the Lifeproof case and bike mount (Lifeproof is the best one out there in my opinion). However, the Wahoo display is not that cheap at $130.

I like bacon...

I use Cyclemeter for road (then upload it to Strave post-ride). I use the Strave app directly for MTB.
