I also have a terrible time with sugar and recently received test results that put me firmly in the diabetic range. I knew the results weren't going to be good but frankly I am still in shock. Hoping to turn it around between diet and exercise.

Another one struggling with a major sweet tooth; trying dark chocolate to early to see if it works yet

Hi all, I am Cindy in my mid-40's. I used MFP quite some time ago and had great success but stopped and of course put the weight back on. I am also dealing with a chronic disease and found that I felt much better when doing MFP. My main goal for coming back is to feel better but if I could lose 20 - 25 pounds I certainly…

Hi all, I'm another who has had a on / off relationship with MFP. Joined a group when I first started and it really helped with the accountability but the group fell apart after about 6 months. I have a chronic health issue and plan to participate in the challenges but may modify based on health needs.

I'm a beginner also - started C25K but tore up my ankle in week two and then was in a boot for 8 weeks. Slowly starting back with a walking program. Never really a runner but I like the idea of a 5k as there is a specific goal & program.

My vote is for Target also. I generally check the Sunday ads and have managed to get a lot of their Champion line items on sale.

I haven't (pre-diabetic right now) but if you search the groups section there is a diabetes, ir & pre-diabetes group that has a lot of discussions about it.
-
Are you well educated in diabetes? I recently had a test come back in the pre-diabetic range and with a strong family history of diabetes I figured it was time to get serious about it. I signed up for a free diabetes education class at our local hospital. If a full hour of discussion regarding all of the possible side…

SW: 186 GW: 186 Christmas Weight: 184 I actually managed to lose a couple of pounds. Finally out of the ankle brace and cleared to begin low - moderate exercise so I'm hoping to get back to the gym this week :)
-
Feel free to add me; I lost about 20 pounds in 2012 bringing me to a CW of 180. My goal is to end 2012 at 135.

Thanks for starting this group!! CW 186 GW 186 I tore up my ankle a few weeks ago and currently can not exercise as I would like. I have not done well staying within calories without the exercise burn so managing to maintain over the holidays will be a big challenge for me. :)

Mine if open, feel free to add me. It hasn't been too healthy lately as I've been stress eating but hoping to get back on track again soon :)
