I usually mix in some berries and All Bran cereal - keeps it low calorie, low sugar, high protein, high fiber, and I think it really helps it not taste so bitter.

Open up that diary! It's difficult to give anything but very general tips without more info.

Fewer carbs, more protein and fiber! I would never make it to lunch if I just had granola bars for breakfast. You could also try 5 or 6 smaller meals rather than 3 bigger meals - this works for some people, sucks for others, you just have to give it a shot. Drink a LOT of water. Exercise and eat back at least half of those…

I was working front desk at a hotel at the time, he was a guest... Him: Hey, how are you? Me: Just fantastic, how are you? Him: Terrible! Me: Oh no, why is that? Him: Because I don't have you on my arm! (Holds out his arm in a gentlemanly way.) If he hadn't been 25 years older than me and extremely creepy looking, it…

I am the same way, and there are two main things that help me: 1) Not keeping said sweets in the house. If I have to go buy them, I'm much less likely to give in. 2) Eating less throughout the day so that I have more calories to use on my nighttime cravings. This may or may not be a good thing, but oh well...I really like…

I struggle with evenings a lot too - if I'm low on calories, I tend to go for cottage cheese, plain Greek yogurt with berries, some lunch meat and cheese, fresh veggies, or boiled eggs. If I have more calories available, I still try to choose foods that are good for me, but splurge a little - raisin bran with milk,…

I've never been too concerned with eating enough...people freak out about TDEE and BMR and BMI and LMNOP, but doesn't your body know? Provided there aren't any other medical issues... If you feel satisfied, and you're not weak or tired or hungry all the time, I'd say keep doing what you're doing. Eat healthy foods...no…

I love the banana "ice cream" or the Skinny Cow treats when I want to feel better about my choices, but really...one banana is around 100 calories. If you're adding in other flavoring, like PB2 or cocoa powder, the calorie count goes up even more. The Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches are 150 calories. A half cup of ice…

I don't pay too much attention to macros...it seems like as long as I'm under my calorie goal and I have had a pretty good eating day, they fall into place. I'm at 40/30/30 carbs/protein/fat, so it doesn't seem to be too difficult.

I just take a daily multivitamin/multimineral (nutrilite brand) and three capsules of fish oil every day. I've been thinking about adding something else, but can't decide! Haha. But those two things seem to work well for me.

July 12!

Exercise! It helps me feel full (for some weird reason I still haven't figured out) and it allows you to eat more calories. Also, lots and lots of protein and fiber. Good luck!

I have a friend who wrote on her belly, "Hi Daddy!" She told her husband that she thought there was a weird lump on her belly, and she wanted him to check it. And then, voila, he saw the little message! Simple, but cute. :)

Okay, thanks!

Depression is definitely a possibility, and it doesn't really need a "reason" to affect someone. Medically speaking, you might want to look up hypothyroidism, or look into whether or not it runs in your family. If you got labs, they may or may not have included your TSH level, but that doesn't always indicate all thyroid…

Haha...that's kind of funny, kind of sad. Maybe try keeping the scale in the same spot?

Yep, open your diary or the advise you'll get will be all guesses. Weight loss seems to be all about finding out what works for YOU. If what you're doing right now isn't working, change it. Eat more or eat less. Eat more whole, clean foods. Work out more or less or lighter or harder. You just have to experiment.

There's also "circuit training" under cardio...that gives you more calories and probably better describes what you're doing!
-
There is "strength training" under the cardio exercises...it doesn't give you a ton, but it's something! Or you might consider investing in a heart rate monitor for accuracy.
-
Why wouldn't you get "extra" calories?
-
The expansion is just water...I would say that the number of cals it lists on the bag are in dry beans.

I was having major cravings for ice cream this week, since I haven't had any for 2 months! I found Skinny Cow, and was so freaking happy. The ice cream bars are only 100 calories...so I don't even feel like I'm "wasting" calories on something that's not nutritious. Also, they are rather expensive, which makes me savor them…

I've heard that oftentimes you first lose fat around your organs, so it doesn't change how you look as much? Anyone know if that's true or just totally made up?

Mmmm bump!

Mmm sounds good!
-
Sounds weird, but the place I see the biggest difference is your jaw line. Awesome job!

That is my goal too! I'm down 35 pounds from my highest weight, 23 from my start date on MFP. I'll send you a friend request!
