Looking for more friends!
I have some fantastic MFP friends and am looking for more! I want friends who will critique my day and give me input on what could be better, along with general encouragement and support. I'll also do my best to do the same for you! Just send me a request if you'd like. :)

Hungry on rest days
I have found that I am WAY hungrier on the days I DON'T work out. Does anyone else get this? It is really easy for me to stay way under my calorie goal on exercise days, but ridiculously difficult to stay under on rest days. Should I just get rid of the rest day???

Need friends who EAT!
I'm looking for more MFP friends...both for encouragement and support, but I'd also love to see other people's meals for ideas! Feel free to add me if you meet the following criteria: 1) You are human. 2) You are losing or maintaining your weight. 3) You eat real food every day, and you never eat less than 1,200 calories…

If I were to add one more vitamin...
I already take three fish oil capsules per day and a multivitamin/multimineral. I've been thinking about adding something, but I don't want to go all supplement crazy and spend a lot of money on things I don't need. I've considered magnesium (I hear it helps with sleep, which I suck at...) or a calcium/iron (because I'm…

Lifting
I have been doing free weights for about a month now, and have definitely noticed a difference...not so much in my body (it's still quite covered in fat, so it's hard to tell...) but in the amount I can lift. I have increased the weight of every lift, especially bench press. I might even move down to the scary,…

Activity level
I recently started another job as a breakfast attendant at a hotel. I am on my feet the entire time, and walking most of that...definitely not intensive, but in and out of the breakfast room, around the kitchen, to the dishwasher, etc. I only do it three times per week and the shift is 5 hours long, so I don't want to…

First NSV!
Today, my grandma came over to visit. My grandpa, her husband, had been over a few days before. My grandma said that I look great...but that's not the NSV! She also said that after my grandpa saw me, he told her that he could really tell that I've been doing a great job with weight loss. It's awesome when anyone notices,…

How to motivate others?
This may be a lost cause, but I wanted to present a little dilemma for you all... I know a man in his mid-twenties who is at least 350 pounds, probably closer to 400. Over 6 feet tall, probably around 6'3. He has mild developmental disabilities, but no physical disabilities. I'm not sure if he doesn't know what he is doing…

Net Calories
I'm currently at 243 pounds, and therefore burn quite a few calories with exercise. My daily calorie goal is at 1450 to lose 2 pounds per week. If I exercise for about an hour, I can burn close to 1,000 calories, but I could never eat those all back unless I ate pizza and ice cream all the time! Sometimes my net calories…

Thyroid
I'm not sure that MFP is the best place to post this, but I don't know where else! Ha. I recently had a physical with blood work, and my TSH came back 3.0. I know that's not a cause for huge concern, but hypothyroidism runs in my family and I believe my mom has goiter. Also, I looked back at my lab results from 2008, and…

Ladies...help with bra size please!
I feel like I've lost a lot of weight in my breasts, which is a good thing because I HATED shopping for bras at Lane Bryant! I was a 42DDD. I am pretty sure I've lost inches both around my bust and under the bust, because the cups in my current bras are too big and I have to pull them to the last set of clasps. BUT - I…

Fat?
I don't think I've ever met my allowed amount of fat...I changed my macros to 40/30/30, and am consistently way under. Is it important for me to be eating more healthy fats, or does it not matter? Thanks! Side note: I also take 3 fish oil capsules per day, 1000mg each.

Amigos
Hi! My name is Rachel, and I've been using MFP religiously for about two months now, and figured I should see if this whole having MFP friends thing helps. :) The highest weight I ever saw on a scale was 278, and I started MFP when I was at 270, after a few months of (casually) watching what I eat and attempting to be more…

Help with macros?
I am confused about these macros. At least I think that's what they're called. ;) What should mine be set at? I'm a 22 year old female, 5'10, starting weight 270, current weight 246. I found that with the automatic settings, I was almost always over on protein and under on carbs and fat. Is there some magic setting that…

What's so bad about dairy?
In my browsing of these forums, I've noticed a lot of people saying they've cut dairy out of their diets...but why??? Greek yogurt, skim milk, and cottage cheese are some of my favorite low calorie foods! Could someone explain to me the benefits of going dairy-free?

Best fiber/protein bar?
I do my best to avoid processed foods, but sometimes when I'm on the run, I'd rather have some sort of bar than have to stop at a fast food restaurant and attempt to figure out the best options. I've tried Kashi, Luna, Fiber One, the Kellog's version of Fiber One, and Nutrilite...all seem to taste okay, I haven't found any…

Blood Pressure Question - Need Advice
Nurses, doctors, anyone who is relatively knowledgeable in the world of medicine: HELP! I started MFP almost a month ago. I have lost 12 pounds so far. I'm 5'10, 21 years old, started at 270, and am now at 258. Three months ago, I was in and out of the hospital, and therefore had my blood pressure taken a lot. It was…

Feet numbness?
I just started working out about 3 weeks ago, and as I've been able to put in more time on the Elliptical, I've noticed that if I go much more than 30 minutes without a break, my feet start getting tingly and numb. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it something I should be concerned about, or will it go away as I lose…
