I am so moved by so many of these posts, almost in tears at my desk this morning. You ladies are amazing, just keep trying!

In my first year I would also get discouraged when I would see other women of a similar body type posting that they lost 60 lbs in 5 months. It just didn't seem fair that I was working so hard and not achieving as much as they did. Everyone's journey is different. I was only willing to make sustainable changes to my diet…

After I lost my first 40lbs I still felt very soft and squishy, it wasn't until I really started focusing on strength training and lifting as heavy as I could that my body composition started to change. I posted a 40 lb loss success story a couple of years ago.…

What a fantastic motto! When you think that you are "trying" it is almost like you don't fully believe in yourself, but when you are "doing" it you have no doubts that you would fail.

I hope you did hit the gym!

Good for you! I had so many of these moments, where everything was going good and I felt awesome, and then suddenly I would go to buy new clothes and still felt fat in everything I tried on. Many moments where I was near tears in a dressing room. Each time, I pulled myself together and decided to step it up. Now I feel…

This is fantastic. When you are honest with yourself huge changes will happen, and it can affect every aspect of your life for the better. It makes you an advocate for yourself.

Thanks for all your kind words everyone!!

I'm looking to lose about ten pounds. I think I will try cutting calories for a few weeks and see how that goes, but not depriving myself if I am still hungry. Especially with all the exercise I've been doing. I will also eat extra to make my protein macro if necessary.
-
Thanks for all the advice ladies!!

How many calories are you ladies eating? I'm 5'6" and I am eating around 2200 calories a day. I want to get leaner and it is so tempting to cut calories. But maybe I should be eating more and hitting the gym harder. Any suggestions? I'm currently doing full body lifting three days a week, each with a HIIT session, and two…

When I first started before and after photos were so inspiring to me. And now they still are! Congrats to everyone!

Do not ever give up! I started my journey over two years ago and there were many hard days, but the results are so worth it. I am 5'6'' and started at about 210 lbs and now I'm floating around 150 lbs. It becomes about so much more then just how you look. It completely changes every aspect of your life. Good luck!

I love this! Definitely made me smile. Congratulations to you! You are a rock star!

Spectacular! Congratulations on all of your success! Hopefully at some point you will treat yourself and get a new dress that fits!

I have just started getting up early to go to the gym. Not crazy early, but 6:30am early. I definitely prefer to go in the afternoon, but my work schedule has become unpredictable and I have been missing too many workouts! I have noticed some awesome benefits to getting up early . . . . 1. No more missed workouts 2. there…

Hello Ladies! I want to know what you guys are eating. I am about a month into the program and I am trying to decide whether or not to make some changes to my diet. I do not know exactly what my BF% is, somewhere around mid-high 20's, which makes everything just a guessing game. weight: 163 cals/day: ~1700 protein:~100-120…

You look awesome! Great job!

Hi Ladies! Yesterday I completed 1B5 and my lower back is so tight this morning!! Damn you deadlifts!! Since I was moving down to lower reps, I decide to up my deadlift from 80lbs to 100lbs, and I did it no problem! I was so pleased with myself (though again, quite sore this morning!). I was trying to brag to the boyfriend…

So, what's next? Are you going to move on to one of the other new rules lifting programs?

These are fantastic results!! You look amazing! I am three weeks into stage 1 and I am already seeing some great results and I am already so much stronger. It is so encouraging to see your results! Any advice for a newbie?

1. I feel like my body and I are on the same page again. Like bumping into a long-lost friend and still having everything in common. It feels amazing. 2. My fiancé tells me how amazing my butt is several times a day, definitely nice. 3. There are moments, either right in the middle of a really tough workout, or after I've…

I am just a little over a week into the program. Even in such a short period of time I already feel a lot stronger and have been consistently upping my weights every work out. I am excited to continue! Spend a good amount of time looking through each workout before you hit the gym, it makes it better. Don't just show up…

thanks everyone! I am just going to start a new heavy-lifting program. I will keep you updated on my progress!

My WHY: taking responsibility for my own happiness. I have always been so focused on making the people around me feel special and important, while secretly hoping that people would just do the same for me. I always felt like it was my job to make them feel good about themselves and that it was their job to make me feel…

This is great success! Congrats!

Thanks! When I first started, my driving thought that I always had in my head was "future-me" in a year's time. I didn't want to let her down. I was so successful in my rest of my life, there was no reason that I couldn't be successful at this. Now that it has been a little over a year, I couldn't be more proud of myself.…
