Power Jumps: 27/32 5. Globe Jumps: 10/9 6. Suicide Jumps: 13/15 7. Push-up Jacks: 11/17 8. Low Plank Oblique: 42/48

I wish the group was more active as well. I'm the opposite. I was a size 0 through 5 until my 30s and started to gain weight in my 40s. Of course, I was in the Army so I had to stay in shape. It's still tough to get back into shape. I'm also coming to the realization that I have to do this for the rest of my life. What?…

I'm definitely not a proponent of eating 1200 calories. I started MFP eating 1200 because that's what it told me I should eat. I never had enough energy to work out. I started reading the "Eat More to Weigh Less" and implemented those changes into my diet. I'm currently eating 1670 calories per day while doing Insanity.…

You're doing awesome! I'm down to 32" on my waist. My goal is to get down to 29"

Just finished Day 10. Whew! I use an HRM (during workouts) and a Nike Fuel Band (during the day) to keep myself motivated. I feel good. Lost an inch of my waist already :=) It's hard to get started but once I get going I love it.

A nice suit for work - Ann Taylor, Banana Republic or J. Crew and beautiful leather pumps to go with :)

Day 6 week 1 complete. Planning to take a much deserved rest tomorrow :)
-
Day 5 complete - I struggled to keep up but did as best as I could. "The ** is bananas yo." Push ups are definitely not my forte. I used to knock them out when I was in the military but 15 years later - not so much!

That sounds delicious. I may have to try it soon :)

Hi! I'm Sandra and I started Insanity yesterday (fit test). Just finished the first workout and I can't wait to see the results. Let's keep each other going!

I will buy a new suit when I hit goal BR, Ann Taylor or J Crew and shoes to go with :)

My magic number is 135. I've gotten close (140) but then I quit exercising when it got cold. I've recommitted to getting back on track and breaking the plateau. I'm eating healthier and started exercising again.

Awesome - thanks for the info! I'm doing my fit test tonight.

I agree - there's nothing worst than looking at friend's diaries who eat 300-1000 calories and the comments "Great job" cause it's really not a great job. I don't say anything - except sometimes I tell them they need to eat more. I'm pretty sure they don't want to hear it. I currently have mine set at 1500 and eat back…

I find v-necks and wrap shirts more flattering for my apple shape.

My husband is a saboteur! He gets home 3 hours before I do and picks up food 2-3 times a week. Never healthy foods. Today I'm irritated because he bought KFC chicken strips (a bucket of them) and made Mac 'n cheese as a side. Then he got upset with me because I didn't want any. There are plenty of healthy items in the…

It sounds like we're doing very similar things and working towards the same goal (1/2 marathon). I'm hoping to run it in October of next year - gives me plenty of time. I'd like to finish it in under 3 hours but I'll be happy just to finish it. I wish I could get my husband to join me, but he's not interested in getting in…

By the way - I'm 48 and have 3 children.

Since it's so quiet - I'll post! I'm down to 147 - from 165 in April 2012. Woo hoo! My goal is 138 - which is the number that will put me at health body fat percentage. I'm currently wearing sizes 8/10 depending on the brand. Hope to get to a size 6, which I haven't worn since 2006. How's everyone else doing?

I'm 5'6" and weighed 185 (yikes) at the beginning of last year. I managed to get down to 140 by December 2011 and got up to 165 by April 2012. I was running and stopped when the snow and cold weather set in, then had two surgeries at the beginning of the year that kept me from exercising. Right now I'm at 147 lbs. (sorry…

Wow! Amazing transformation!

What a great inspiring story! Congratulations on achieving your goals and most of all a beautiful friendship.

Yay! Other apples! My name is Sandy and I'm 47. I didn't know I was an apple until my 40's :( I was always thin. I weighed 115 lbs. until I had my son in 1993. I was also in the Army so running was a big part of my life. Fastword, out of the Army and in a desk job the last 15 years. I was at my highest weight last year 186…
