I 'believe' it runs a small electrical current through your body via the soles of your feet and somehow measures the resistance (but I didn't google that so I'm SOOOOO guessing)!

I don't find them very accurate BUT in the absence of another readily accessible method, it 'sorta' gets you in the ballpark. IMO.

I use bodyspace and the accompanying phone app. There is NO integration between them and MFP so you'll end up posting the overall time in MPF separately. Cumbersome but I chose to do it.

Maybe I'm being too blunt (and I apologize for it) but perhaps you should worry less (or none at all) about what other people think about you. By letting their opinions 'tick you off', you're just letting them affect you. You see yourself as 'fit and healthy' - end of story.

Except for showers (even if it is waterproof), I've worn my Flex for almost 2 years now. Think of it as a motivator in that it let's you know just how active (or not active) you are. Personally, it may be one of the best $100 investments I've made in getting healthy.
