Are there things you don't log?

I don't log lettuce, but do log everything added, including dressing.Water, spices, tea, coffee, diet soda,.If eating out, take my own oil/ vinegar dressing ..... Always count olive oil,not the rice or red wine vinegar. Guess that is it.0
-
I don't log soy sauce (I'm not watching my sodium), hot sauce, mustard, spices. I would log the creamer though. I do log my coffee and diet drinks but it's more from habit than anything.0

Water, spices, etc I don't log.
Occasionally if at the end of the day I see I'm 100 calories short, I'll grab a quick snack as I'm crawling into bed and not log it.0 -
People saying black pepper should log it, it has cals.0
-
tea, dijon mustard, cinnamon, pepper and other spices, vinegar, lemon juice, stevia0
-
I always log condiments. I don't log water and gum/mints0

i dont log exercise due to the inconsistent nature of it.0
-
Spices, black coffee, tea, and gum.0
-
Just water & vitamins
edit: I also don't log workouts0 -
I log creamer, as it has calories. Same for ketchup and mayo. But I don't log mustard.0
-
See, I'll log condiments simply because of the sodium. While mustard is generally minuscule on calories, ketchup is about 15 to 20 per tablespoon, in addition to the sodium...but that is just me....0
-
I log it all - down to my A-1 and Green Hot Sauce.0
-
I don't log spices, my multivitamin, or tea. I imagine that when I'm doing unlogged squats while waiting for my coffee, those are my basil calories.0
-
herbs and spices.
I don't always log mustard or hot sauce. But I log all other condiments. Ketchup, ranch, honey mustard etc. all have plenty of calories.0 -
When I make bacon wrapped water chestnuts, I ony log 1/4 the marinade. I've tried weighing it before and after I've soaked the chestnuts in it to figure out the correct % to use, but it ends up weighing more after I've taken the chestnuts out. I guess the salt in the soy sauce and cooking causes water to come out of the water chestnuts into the marinade? - and yes, I froze and removed the bacon fat before the second weight.
I log communion wine and wafer, using entries I found on MFP - 10 cal. total.0 -
I don't log diet drinks, hot sauce (unless I have a LOT of it), herbs and spices, and I don't accurately log tea and coffee, I put 4 cups a day which I think is about my average. Life's too short and I'm still losing weight0
-
I dont log fruits and veggies......GASP0

I don't log anything that will be less than five calories. A half-leaf of lettuce on a sandwich, a paper-thin tomato slice on my morning egg, coffee (but I do log the creamer) and tea, a tiny taste of dinner as I'm cooking, a tablespoon of diced onion in a single serving of stir-fry.0
-
Black coffee (if I have a cappuccino I log the milk), tea, herbs and dry spices, vitamins. Oh and water, not an issue for me.
I do log all ingredients in my recipes though, even if only 5 cals, because I've started to use the recipe tool as a sort of cookbook/reminder not to forget any ingredient in my dishes0 -

I do log creamer/tea additives, salad dressings, various sauces, and my beloved ketchup (so sorry, so American).
I do the same and this also covers the milk I use in my tea. I thus also don't log herbs and spices and am not always fully accurate with my veg (I sometimes use 5 types at dinner - can't be bothered, I'll just log more of 1), but I do log ketchup, mustard (it does have calories), dressings etc.0 -

Good idea!
I agree, I may start doing the same. Thanks!

Thoughts?
I don't log the milk in my coffee, the occasional piece of dark chocolate, condiments etc, unless I slather something in mayo or something like that. I reckon it wont be more than 200-300 kcal / day max in any case, so that just doesn't matter as it is basically impossible to estimate my "calories out" with any more precision than that. So, as long as I keep losing weight over the weeks and months, I know I'm good.0 -
I don't log ketchup, mustard, vinegar, Crystal Light, Halls cough drops... I am usually about 100 or more calories below my daily goal so it works fine.0
-
I don't log water like many others; I drink at least 2 litres a day and don't need to prove it to myself. I also don't log my black coffee or plain tea.
I never seem to log the dash of olive oil I use for cooking but I that's never been a problem to my weight loss so it doesn't bother me.0 -
I log everything except spices. Also log glasses of water per day. I saw that someone said they didn't log ketchup. Bad move. There is so much sugar in ketchup, a lot of it from high fructose corn syrup. Should get it out of your diet completely.0
-
I log everything! Cough drops, gum, vitamins, mustard, sriacha, coffee. My 3-4 cups black coffee has 7-8 calories. It's all important, and it all adds up.0

For me this thread is funny, or at least the reaction in my head is similar to the whole (George Carlin?) thing that anyone going slower than you is an idiot and anyone going faster is a maniac. I'm varying between "you worry about 5-10 calories!?" to "you don't worry about 200+ calories!?" :-) I suppose it just shows that different things work for different people.0

cinnamon and ginger I add to my oatmeal, apples, sweet potatoes.... I always log an extra 5 calories to accommodate the spices I use throughout the day0
