I agree, I can’t do this anymore, new Apple Watch comes out in September, I can wait two and a half months.

Good Morning!

I am part of the WW at Work program where my job pays my fees so I'm going to go ahead and stay on WW but continue to track my points here on MFP. I have noticed in the 4 weeks since the Freestyle change, my calories went up from 1200 or so a day to 1600 a day. Had I not been tracking in BOTH apps, I would not have known…

jb3_keto Thanks for posting that, I'm on day 60 and am down 15 pounds, I wondered if I was on track with whatever the norm seems to be but looks like maybe I am.

I had cancer so had a full hysterectomy almost 2 years ago. I take 1mg of estrodial a day. Last summer, I lost 35 pounds, got stupid and put it back on. Went back on Paleo this June and haven't lost one pound. I am stuck and I don't know what to do, it's getting frustrating for sure. Having some blood work ran and seeing…

What is that saying? Be careful what you wish for? :)

My husband keeps urging me to have thyroid tests done and since you mentioned it I think I will do that quite soon. Is there a medication that helps thyroid problems? I guess I'll find out.

Painfully slow yes. Hysterectomy almost 2 years ago and I feel as though I'm barely able to tread water and maintain my weight. Something has got to give here. I'm interested in digging a little deeper into the hormone testing to check if there is something I can do to help this along. I take 1mg of estradiol a day, this…

I have to agree with this. For some reason I seem to be able to take in around 60 to 70g in carbs and still stay in ketosis. I never would have known what my threshold is if I hadn't bought the ketostix at the pharmacy. This allows me a bit more leeway for food choices. I do eat a sandwich every once in a while and can…

Great post! I seem to have hit a bump too, where everything was working great, then not so much. I'll add you, I can always use low carb friends. I stay off the main forums, holy cow it is crazy arguments out there today with the muscleheads, poor woman asked about a ketogenic diet and if it was good or not...oh my,…

This is a great start to a huge multi-page all out rage fest. However, you asked and I would like to answer. I don't feel as hungry all day eating a low carb high fat ketogenic diet. This keeps me from going down the processed food path. I eat tons of vegetables with butter and maybe some cheese. I eat grilled chicken and…

^^ haha this, 100x this.

This is me exactly. I am 1 1/2 years from my hysterectomy. I'm 50 years old so the estradiol 1mg a day has helped me tremendously. I don't know what I would do without it. The only thing that is perplexing to me at the moment is last summer I lost about 35 pounds on here using my fitness pal and doing zumba. I gained much…

If you haven't found them yet, there is a keto group you can join as well as a Paleo/Primal group and a low carb group. Search for those, there are great recipes and it's a great community of folks.

I'm bumping this thread from one year ago, it helped me back then and I need a reminder today as I enter week 5 that the honeymoon phase of induction is over and weight loss will slow down. This isn't a bad thing, stay the course, focus ahead. Two people from this group I miss the most, LowCarbNY and deadvim.

Thanks for posting this, I've spent a lot of time reading it. Is it your site?

Low Carb does this to me too, my doctor has me drinking Miralax at night and wow it really helps! Drink lots of water all day, it helps the stuff work even better.

Wow, I eat tons of leafy green vegetables on my low carb plan, in fact, vegetables are extremely important. I put much less emphasis on the meat. There is nothing wrong with eggs either, I don't know why people are so afraid of the yolk. My cholesterol is lower than it's been in years as are my triglycerides. To each their…

It is "diet food" for us low carb peeps =) Thank you for sharing!

That's great! I'm starting back up from last summer but I could definitely use more low carb friends too. I like sharing meal and recipe ideas. I tend to stay here in the forums, the other groups don't seem to approve of our low carb choices. There is also a keto group similar to this one. I get some good ideas there. I…

Glad you did too, welcome!

Zumba, my favorite activity of all time to keep moving. So much fun, join the My Fitness Pal Zumba group!

I know what you mean and I feel the same way. Some random thoughts: I often wonder if I should be working out 4 hours a day, maybe specifically not gym stuff but do the elliptical machine for an hour then swim for an hour, go home eat something then go hiking for an hour, then go ride my bike for an hour. Would it make a…

It takes me about 5 days. Once I am in for a while, if I have a bad carb day (like yesterday) it will probably take a shorter time to get back in say 3 days. I take in around 40g or so of carbs a day which is a lot to some people, maybe it's because I'm so big at the moment I can tolerate more to get in ketosis. Keep at…

Thanks lat100 for the percentages. I was able to readjust mine but I went 65% fat and 10% carbs, 25% protein. I am going to try this for a few weeks and adjust again if need be.

I hope you are doing well so far. I wonder if you upped the fat in your diet if that wouldn't help a bit with your hunger problems. For instance use a bit of olive oil to cook in or maybe use a bit of butter on your vegetables. I find if I up my fat intake I'm don't get as hungry during the day.
