What is an "anti-estrogen diet"? Is that a real thing and what's to purpose?

Carbs don't put on pounds. Too many calories put on pounds. I'd argue that it's easier to put on pounds with fatty foods over carby foods, since they have more calories per gram. And why is cutting out dairy a "huge mistake"?

I agree with your statement regarding Dairy being the cause of early puberty in woman, not Soy.

I'm unaware of any Soy Milk brands that are NOT Organic / NON-GMO. Also the claim that there are Feminizing affects of Soy in men is a myth, there is research showing that Soy Isolates raised free testosterone in men.

You can get vegan protein blends from TrueNutrition, from a variety of plant based sources, such as Brown Rice, Pea, Soy, Hemp, etc. Their blends are very affordable compared to Vega One.

Do Not use Louie Simmons as an example of how to squat. I don't think the OP is a juiced up, multi-ply power lifter.

okay, first of all. You've done this program for only 3 Weeks, so for all intents, you JUST started. Focus on checking your initial progress after about 3 months - give it time. Second, do not worry or concern yourself with BF%. Focus on progressively adding weight to the bar (with good technique of course). If you're…

I have to strongly disagree with your view that this is a "moderate-advanced program". This is not even close to an advanced program. This has very few training variables with rapid linear progression, which is sensible for a NOVICE trainee who can adapt to training bouts in 48-72 hours (based on our general knowledge of…

Don't waste your money on supplements. Just get variety and your diet and you'll be fine. Don't take supplements unless you are some kind of elite level athlete.

I strongly disagree with you - and your advice is bad. If she is 5'9'', and weighs 202, she works out 4 or 5 days a week, she will not loose weight at 2524 calories. She will maintain her weight and just spin her wheels. She needs to be around 1900 to 2200 calories to be in a calorie defict.

Wow this is a great thread - love this topic. Chiming in. Begin Rant. 1) Read Mark Rippetoe's books 'Starting Strength', first 6 chapters of 'Practical Programming', and Mehdi's 'Strong Lifts' Booklet. You will automatically be smarter than 90% of the people in a gym without ever lifting a weight. 2)If you're a Rank Novice…

I'm pretty sure your calculation is off. 4000 calories is way too much. There are people who can eat that way and get lean, but they are typically advanced athletes. I typically use Mifflin St. Jeor method but it's not too far off from the Harris method. Your maintenance is probably around 2500-2600, and you should be…
