I told myself the weight gain and muscle loss were just a part of getting older... 55 in my case Then I rejoined MFP, started tracking and eating right, and got back to regular exercise. Down almost 15 lbs. Muscles are pretty much always sore but I feel stronger already and I know the pain will pass. Glad its not too late…

After a year and a half of a new job where I eat more and exercise less, and after coming off a bout of Lyme disease, ready to get back to work. 11lbs down since I started a month ago (only 3 or so to go). Will try and log daily and check in with this group. Cheers! Dave

Try setting a specific goal (or goals) to work towards. Track everything. Start a challenge on MFP and post your daily progress (along with all of your friends that join you in the challenge) like 100 miles in June, etc.
