I do both...but right now my tkd isn't as good as it was because I had back surgery. I'm not currently allowed to fight and I miss it so much!

I also HATE weightlifting. I love cardio! but I like the way I look when lifting heavy things. I have been thinner from cardio, and not liked my body near as much as when I was heavy lifting. No one can make you do it, but I see the best results when I do both.

I go pretty hard at spin and I usually average about 450 calories burned...5'6 170. I have a polar chest strap that I'm really really happy with. I know you said a wrist one but the chest straps are way more accurate

Healthy heart. Had surgery 9 weeks ago, went back to spin 4 weeks ago, and since then resting heart rate has dropped from 63 to 56! Healthier more efficient heart!

I've already started going numb for an hour or two and then the feeling comes back. My husband wants me to wait but I don't think waiting anymore will do any good

Ps herniation was from car accident, and the rest of my disks r strong and healthy.

This^^^^ If I overeat I keep track and the next few days I try to lower the number by 1-200. After a few days I am usually right where I need to be.

I have tried free weights for years... just have trouble making myself do it. I have been doing machines for the last 3+ months and I have been able to stick with it better. So whatever works for you!

I had a polar, and had trouble losing...Got a fitbit and the polar was overestimating my workout by about 300 calories. I have lost 6 pounds pretty quick with fitbit.
