  • @Krysless2 I'm in for the water/step challenge. Step goal: 7,000. I'm a stay home mom and I take only about 3,000-4,000 steps in a day. So I have to go for a walk or do a "walk from home" workout to get my steps in. This means at least 20-30 mins of intentional workout, which is one of my goals.
  • Hi everyone, F/49/5'2" I've been going up and down ( way more up than down) since 2008 and I'm tired of feeling meh. I need to lose 45 lbs to be healthy and happy. And I HAVE TO KEEP IT OFF. My goal is 4-5 lbs a month and be 135 by March 2021 on my 50th birthday. July starting weight: 179.1 July goal weight: 174-175 Week 1…

  • Each day is a gift and a new beginning. It's ok to feel defetaed but you can use that negative emotion to jump start your new day. Take a deep breath and smile in the face of that pesky weight gain. Tell it to take a hike. Tell it that it's a simple, puny bump, not a lost war.
  • 6/30 Calories tracked? Yes. Calories under? Yes and I didnt eat back my workout calories! Workout? 25 mins home walk, 15 mins abs and upper arm workout, plank challenge day 2: 2 X 25 seconds Water? 10 cups Net carbs: at my goal of 45! Fiber needs work, though, with only 11g. • I'm not a medical professional, just a fellow type 2 diabetic. You definitely need a dietitian experienced in diabetes. My dietitian told me the following: 1) not to exceed 100g of carbs per day, 2) to consume minimum 20g of fiber, 3) only 2 or 3 meals, ideally eaten at the same time everyday, 4)no snacking at all, 5)…
  • Metubal 6/29 Calories tracked? Yes. Calories under? Barely but yes Workout? 25 mins Leslie Sansone, 20 mins butt and thigh workout, and started a plank challenge with only 20 seconds today. Water? Currently at 5 cups, I have 2hours until bedtime, so I'm sure I'll reach 8 cups today. Net carbs: 67. Way over my goal of 45.…
  • Hi, Metubal, or real name, Ebru. I'm 49, married, have a 12-year-old son. Fit and healthy until I got pregnant at 36. It was a complicated pregnancy with strict bedrest, gestational diabetes, and health issues with the baby. After my son was born, both my and my son's health have gotten progressively worse. Stress and…
  • I have diabetes and fatty liver. I tried a low fat diet for 3 months and I kept craving olive oil the entire time! Eventually I modified my diet to include olive oil, and I realized it would be sustainable only with olive oil😁 Mediterranean is the best diet, in my opinion, as long as you eliminate or minimize simple carbs.…
  • Metubal PW 179.5 CW 179 Overall, I had a very good week. Very relaxed. Finally we had a few sunny days, which changed our moods for the better in an instant. Discovered a new hiking trail on Tuesday, and spent 3 hours on the beach today. Both places were packed with people, no masks or social distancing at either place. I…
  • Metubal PW 180 CW 179.5 I was doing acceptable until yesterday. My carb intake has been too high, so I felt sluggish all week. But, yesterday... For the first time this summer, weather was great, sun was shining, it was 70 degrees! I took my son for a walk by the lake, we had a nice picnic... Then he wanted ice cream. Oh,…
  • I have drip lines on a timer. No worries there:) But it's been raining, storming, and hailing nonstop since the beginning of May:( I need summer for my veggies and myself!😁
  • Metubal PW 181.1 CW 180 I had a crazy week. Lot of dr appointments for my son. I was either glued to the phone or running in hospital hallways. Finally decided on the books for the core subjects for next year. I ordered everything, feeling pretty accomplished:)) I haven't started looking at electives yet.... I feel like…

  • I'm starting over.. again. Accountability means a lot to me. Every time I step away from here, I gain a lot of weight. Took May off, and I'm up 8 lbs! I'm a 49yo homeschooling mom to an amazing almost 12yo boy. I was healthy and thin most of my life until about 9-10 years ago. Then... I gained 70 pounds and got diagnosed…

  • @Keepingtrack1234 Hi, team. I really want/need to jump back in. April was tough, my mom spent a week in the hospital fighting coronavirus. 2 days after she was discharged, she was rushed to the Emergency due to difficulty breathing and elevated heart rate. I was handling Covid 19 pretty well until my mom got sick. I went…
  • I tried Dr Fuhrman's Nutritarian plan about 8 years ago, hoping to make it my lifestyle. I couldn't continue past the third month because a) i was craving oil, I was actually dreaming about having olive oil on my salads:), 2) the plan is plant-based: very limited animal protein is allowed and eggs are definitely a no-no. I…
  • Hi everyone. I've been unable to write for a while -again-. My mom was diagnosed with Covid 19 and admitted to the hospital on Monday. It's been a roller coaster. She is 79 and we live about 6,000 miles apart (she lives in Turkey, my home country). She's a health-nut, in good shape and very active. So, she's been handling…
  • April week 2 PW: 176.9 CW: 176.4 * these are my weekly averages. I was doing awesome until Friday. Then my husband wanted to stay up to watch movies both on friday and Saturday nights, which means we stayed up until 3-4am and had late night snacks. I didnt touch chips or crackers or any other carbs really (ok, maybe a few…
