I agree many people have become lazy. Not only too lazy to exercise, but too lazy to cook their own food properly. Instead, using ready made pies etc that are simply put on a tray in the oven, then transferred to a plate and eaten. No thought or effort goes into it and it's eaten with no thought for the nutritional…

PS I also thought this was a different kind of post! I was going to ask her husband if he'd rather catch her yawning, checking her hair for split ends or even reading a book. Not that I would know ANYTHING about that sort of thing of course!

Have what you like BUT in moderation. I have a daily allowance of chocolate that keeps me on the straight and narrow. It also removes the allure of the "forbidden". I also love to bake, but I bake mostly for others, church fetes, gifts for friends etc, entertaining etc. There are certain substitutes that I would be willing…

Breadmakers are inherently tragic in that they are silly and pointless! What's wrong with a bowl, a wooden spoon and a good old-fashioned oven??

I've never HEARD of a "gift opening party" and hope that's not a new tradition we will see adopted here in the UK. Weddings are over-fussy as it is, without even more self-indulgent frills. How awful to be expected to watch a couple open their wedding gifts! Where will it all end, I wonder? In your shoes, I would explain…

I've ALWAYS wanted to be a redhead! I think redhaired women are the most beautiful on the planet.

I get told I have an amazing singing voice and should be singing professionally. Also I make delicious but very calorific cakes and desserts.

Most days I eat two slices of toasted white bread with Anchor spreadable butter (not too much though) and either a scraping of Bovril or jam on it, with a mug of tea, semi skimmed milk, no sugar. I only like a scraping of jam and rarely eat it at all. It used to be peanut butter but I hardly ever eat that anymore.

PS: I've never been drunk.

I used to have a very occasional drink but I don't bother now. I don't really like alcohol much, except for drinks like Baileys. Even that makes my head swim and feel muzzy. It's also so bad calorie wise that I think I'm better off without it. I also feel that if I'm going to drive, I should have NO alcohol whatsoever. The…

Hi Claire, I'll be your buddy! I'm feeling positive at the moment and I'll cheer you on. My husband and I have been watching The Biggest Loser USA and find it very inspiring. For the first time I really feel sure I'm really going to get there.

I have trouble getting anywhere near the protein level that MFP sets for me, which might be because I don't eat meat. I will happily eat fish though, but don't like a lot of cheese. In any case I think the fat content of cheese would outweigh (!) the protein benefits for me. I do eat Quorn instead of meat and suppose I…

I'm 5'8.5" and I used to wear very high heels occasionally. I didn't mind towering over other women, or even some men. There was one guy I worked with once who used to act very superior to me and one day when he started, I simply stood up and said "Yes?" This made him have to crane his neck to look up at me, which was…

Well done, you're doing really well. You'll get there. I keep imagining how good it will feel to be lighter, fitter, toned and strong. I've got about 60 pounds to go but it will feel so good when I get there. Although my husband might be upset about me needing an ENTIRE new wardrobe!!

I had a fluffy white cat called Duchess who died recently. I adopted her when she was about a year old, from a local shelter. She'd been found pregnant and all her kittens were homed. She had big green eyes and always liked to have the last word, usually "MAH!" I would say she could pronounce exclamation marks. She lived…

Don't panic, just set yourself a goal and work towards it slowly. The weight will come off and you will get there. I've lost 10 pounds since BEFORE I joined MFP, and that was only a few weeks. I am losing about 2 pounds a week and feeling much better for it. I'm sure you will too.

I love chocolate. I have a small amount incorporated into my daily diet, a portion that I eat after dinner, but only if I haven't had any other "treats".

just had a quick look at your profile pic, which shows you're a pretty girl as well. Quick read of what you say also seems to me to indicate that you maybe don't need to lose any more weight. Have a word with your GP to see what he or she thinks about that. Maybe you could then speak to a trainer to devise a programme to…

I agree with others, you look to me as if you are just the right weight. You look wonderful. If I looked as good as you, I would be over the moon. I would say you have a lovely hourglass figure, with no unsightly bulges, just in the right proportions. Do you have self-esteem issues? I have and I am finding Cognitive…

I wasn't even dating this one guy, we were just friends. Out of the blue he e-mailed and told me we had nothing in common except that we both "did our bit in church" - he was a bellringer and I was in the choir. He said he wanted to tell me that we would only ever be friends. For some reason I felt very upset about this.…
