I like it.

What? I have been pretty successful, thanks. I am simply looking for people that actually comment on posts on here when I occasionally post about a tough day. I mean that is the point of the community.

It's easy for someone to say "move on, leave him" when they're not in your situation. It's not so easy to leave a 7 year marriage and break up your child's home. I do however agree that his lack of support could be causing your weight issues. Figure out a way to lose weight for you, get healthy, not skinny, get some…

I started out at 206, add me too!

If you sent me a message in your FR, I didn't realize I couldn't reply directly and once you accept, it disappears. Sorry if I didn't catch it!

Thank you! I'm excited.

I have PCOS also and I've tried low carb diets but I'm miserable on them. The funny thing is when I was thin before I had my daughter, my PCOS got a lot better - so it's a cycle. Now I am just sticking to my calorie count every day and I've taken up running. That is working great for me but the weight loss has been slower…

Couch 2 5K worked like a miracle for me. I have never been a runner, never. I couldn't run for more than seconds, even as a kid. The program is great, it takes you really slow. It is still a challenge if you've never been a runner but it is totally doable. It feels better, I think, that it is challenging because you feel…

I'm only taking in 1200 calories a day. Some days I go over but try not to beat myself up about that. I'm only 5'2" though and I wanted to lose 1-2 lbs a week so my caloric intake had to be low. I got used to it really pretty quickly and I don't even have to live on lettuce and carrot sticks. Also, I always eat my…

Thank you so much! Keep at it, it really works if you let it. Slow and steady. :)

Yeah, posting the pics was a challenge, lol. There is a sticky on how to do it through Photo Bucket though and that helped. Then you just need to change the IMG to img when you copy and paste.

Thank you so much for the support everyone! You've made me feel wonderful.

Thanks everyone, I feel so much better. I am sticking to my calorie count and took up running. Feel great.

Thanks!

Thanks for all the help, finally got it. Lol.

Thank you for all your help everyone. I will try again in a bit with the lowercase img, gotta run out for a few.

I always had a tougher time on Day 1 of each week. Day 2 would be better and then Day 3 would usually be great. Then I hit week 4 and that really killed me. I had to repeat the days over and over and got really discouraged. I thought I was just not a runner after all. But I did eventually get through week 4 and move on to…

For real, it happens. I have never been able to run longer than a few consecutive seconds in my life without getting a stitch and being so out of breath. But now I am dying to run almost every day. I truly love it and for the first time in my life I'm exercising for the right reasons instead of because I'm obsessed with my…

OMG @35andRunning, I swear I was just thinking the same exact thing and I saw this topic pop up in my side bar. I have never been addicted to any physical activity and have never been a runner. I have finished one 5k, signed up for another and am training for a half marathon in March. I ran the last two days in a row and…

Body Glide is specifically made for this. I use it when I run, it works well.

I'd like to join also! I just completed Week 1 of C25K. I will be moving on to Week 2, Day 1 on Tuesday.

Though most of this is very good advice, it is not a good idea to STRETCH BEFORE running. You should ALWAYS stretch after running, when muscles are warm, but stretching cold muscles before a run can lead to injury. The best way to warm up before a run is with 5 minutes of brisk walking.

I felt like I was reading something about myself here (only I'm short, lol). I totally feel your pain and am sending you a FR right now! :) I was really thin my whole life, especially in my 20s, until I had my daughter at 32. I've been battling ever since. I am now almost 38 (next month) and at 5'2" I weigh 161 (at one…

Duh. Email might help: commonmime@gmail.com

This is a great idea!
