I went down 2 lbs, then it was that TOM and went up 3, down 2, then back up 2... seriously frustrating. I have lost some inches and maybe the cheese could be stalling me but for the most part my net carbs were actually under 20gms. One day I realized I only netted 9 grams of carbs. I had my thyroid tested in May and a…

I am on day 13 of induction and haven't lost weight, but I have lost some inches. My food diary is open, I started atkins on July 24th and really do like eating this way. I might have to lower my calories b/c I am never hungry and may be eating too much. I have been in ketosis every day since July 26th too.

I have only been doing atkins since July 24th. I have the book and tomatoes and such are all allowed. I really should buy the full fat cheese! I had a bunch of frozen bags of the reduced fat fiesta blend and have finished with the last one today, lol. Oh yeah, I saw that the metamucil had a LOT of carbs and bought the…

Thank you for posting this!! I didn't even experience rapid weight loss in induction but it does help to hear about the slow loss.

I don't really have advice, just sympathy because we are in the same boat. I have been on MFP over 45 days now, have tracked my calories and done really well... but haven't lost anything. I have gone down an inch or two, but I'm not going to quit!! The alternative is to stop tracking and working out... and be right back…

YUP!! LOVE this stuff!! Muscle Tech also makes a great chocolate protein shake, we buy it at Sam's Club.

String cheese, peanut butter and celery, pork rinds if there is a vending machine nearby and you have nothing else, lol. Olives, pickles, pickled okra, hard-boiled eggs, veggies and ranch dressing or hummus, jerky, nuts, pistachios, sunflower seeds, or cream cheese on celery sticks. Good luck to you, and I hope this adds…

Cooking and eating more at home instead of fast food!! It has been a hard habit to break but it sure is saving money and is much easier to eat healthy and within our caloric limit. (My husband is on MFP too)! Being mindful of the calories in all of my food -especially the bad stuff I used to eat!

That is awesome! Small NSVs add up to make a huge lifestyle change!! Good job!

Good grief! It is unbelievable that someone would say something so unthinking/unfeeling. What kind of a person would make a statement like that?! F*cking ignorant idiot is right!
-
Exactly!! I try to show appreciation and understanding so that is probably why it is hard to raise a ruckus when it's lacking.

I went to Midas and can't believe how bad it was. The manager was who I dropped my keys with, but he did not come back into the waiting area when my car was finished and passed the keys and clipboard to the receptionist. I guess I should have asked to see him and complain. The bad thing is that there is a glass window in…

Totally inspiring!! I had to find this post again, just to show my husband, lol!

I am really glad to read this post!! I am starting to see some looseness in my clothes and bra (sigh, why do the boobs go first??? why???) lol, but not much loss on the scale. I am going to keep working out and shrinking, darn it!! Eventually that stupid scale will move. Best of luck to all of you!!

I am on here more than on facebook, and enjoy it so much more too! I love reading the message boards and all the support that is out there. I would rather get on here and reply to great posts and give/receive support from some wonderful friends on here any day!! I also use my phone app every day. LOVE THIS!!!

Yep! My husband eats whatever I cook too. :-) Sounds like a great guy!! Congrats on your weight loss! I am fairly new and just getting started but you are already awesome!!

I hear ya!! I wish the scale would go down too but I am so determined to not let the frustration get the best of me. That number on the scale isn't the be-all of my health! We got this and I know persistence will pay off.

Anytime I make a homemade meal, it is easier to enter under "my recipes" and add all the ingredients used in, then divide by how many portions there are.

It does seem like I am sensitive to water weight (at least for now). I am pear shaped and very muscular in the hips and thighs so when I work out I do tend to feel swollen and will see it on the scale. I am not going to let that stop me from working out, though!! I just wonder if it takes a while to get some momentum going…

When I was in school, there were only 3-4 kids that I can recall being very overweight (graduated in 1998). My oldest daughter is 11 and when I go to her school, I am amazed at how many overweight children there are. We also lived in Germany for a few years and everyone out there walks, there are no elevators in buildings-…

dorothy lynch (when I wanna be bad), girards light champagne, newmans own light balsamic vinagrette, and my own red wine vinegar and olive oil dressing! YUM --wishbone light ranch isn't bad either

Hello! My name is Alesha and I am 32. I am loving my 30s and want to look as good as I feel (confident, energetic, and strong). I have two daughters (11 and 7 years old) and will be celebrating my 10 year anniversary with my husband, Corey this year. He is on mfp too and just turned 35. The only negative thing that we have…

I am so excited and super motivated after hearing all the stories of breaking past a certain level!! I want to get under 170 when college starts up August 27th. Good job ladies!! Congratulations. :-)

I can bloat and retain 3-4 pounds of water pre-period. By the time that I have finished my period, I am back to where I was. The only thing is that it can get frustrating when it feels like you lose and gain and lose the same 3 or four pounds for that little bit of time. I really don't want to record those few pounds as a…
