Because I may not feel like it, but I still have the power to CHOOSE to do it.

Thank you for posting this; I needed to read these. I'm choosing to act and heading out for a run right now!

Thanks for posting this story! His words are motivational for me. I can't say I've ever had a stranger's encouragement, but I've got friends who get quite excited about my successes and it always makes me feel much more determined to continue. How much better to be affirmed by a stranger!

Hi all! I'm 5', have lost about 15 lbs and looking to lose another 10 or so, and would love to find more supportive friends. Feel free to add!

Way to go! Every victory counts :drinker:

Hi everyone! I'll go for 24 days, since I'll be on a cruise for a few days and my birthday is this month. Hopefully I'll get more green days than that, as I don't plan to gorge myself on the cruise and I get more enjoyment from decorating the cake than from eating it. I also definitely need to drink more water and will…

Saying a very embarrassed "hello" to everyone... fell off the wagon towards the end of December as far as logging in the group was concerned. :embarassed: Chevy's return reminded me of the group and I realized I've been struggling on my own since I left! Hope you don't mind having me back for February!

1. My belts are too big. 2. I turn down going out with family and friends because I want to work out, or don't want to eat out (more difficult to track!). 3. I was just in New Orleans for two months, and the only New Orleans food I ate was a beignet, once. 4. I get really upset if I can't exercise. 5. I'm running out of…

That is an incredible story, Chevy! And thanks for pointing out the "slow and steady" philosophy. I know I get caught up in wanting to lose too fast, and have to be reminded sometimes to go for healthy, not just skinny (toned sounds so much better anyway)! You continue to amaze! :drinker:

This is such an amazing idea and your enthusiasm is contagious! Love it!

I like stir-frying broccoli, baby corn, snow peas, and bell peppers together in water and a low-sodium teriyaki sauce (I don't use oil). Sometimes I add chicken or cashews and pile it on some rice. Delicious!

I'll join too! I'll do the 30 days! :)

I'm 5' and want to lose about 15 lbs. Feel free to add me! :)

I'm 5' and am currently at about 120. My goal weight is between 105 and 110 because I'm building up muscle, though I'm sure I could get away with 100 if I didn't want to be toned. :)

A family member has said something like, "You look fine. You DO have some chubbiness around your middle, but otherwise you look pretty good." Gee, thanks. :P (And she pinched my sides when she said it!)

Thanks! I look forward to trying these!

Aww, nevermind :(

I did half of the P90X Shoulders and Arms workout last night and I was able to do chair dips with one leg fully extended and the other raised in the air, while talking! Now I can't wait to exercise again!
-
I'm 22, active on MFP, and anyone can add me! Currently working through P90X but I also run sometimes.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write up your story! I've been struggling lately and reading about your success has inspired me again. Congratulations and best of luck to you in your continued journey!

I'm 5', started at 127 lbs. I'm 119 lbs. currently, and my ultimate goal is to be 105-110, with a toned, fit body. I've definitely noticed a bit of a change in my legs, but I carry my weight in my middle, so I'd love to see more change there!

Congratulations everyone! And thanks again for hosting this Fredda! As sad as I am that there won't be another challenge, it's good that you get to take a break. Best of luck to everyone in their future endeavors!
-
I lost a couple of pounds as well, but I definitely gained a lot more insight into nutrition, healthy living both physically and psychologically, and exercise! Also, I love that pep talk from kid president. Can always use the encouragement! Thank you so much Fredda for hosting this challenge! I hope there are more to come!…

I'm 5 feet tall, currently weigh about 119. My goal weight was originally 100-105 and I'm still going to strive for that, but I realize that muscle is heavier than fat, so I think, if I built up muscle, I would look good between 105 and 110.

I definitely have been learning that the scale isn't everything, and that it's okay to mess up here and there. I still beat myself up to some extent, but I'm learning, instead of whining about the consequences of my bad food/exercise decisions, to embrace those consequences as lessons for the next time I'm tempted to do…

Anyone here, please feel free to add me! I'm in my best friend's wedding in May, and though I wouldn't be considered the "big" bridesmaid, I don't want to be the chunky one! I've been running, and recently started P90X with the bride, though Ab Ripper X put me out of exercising commission for two full days. I don't…

Hi! I'm 21 and would love to have more friends too! I'll send you a request. :)
-
I'm 21! I'll add you, and anyone else is free to add me too!
-
Congratulations, Fredda! That's incredible and you continue to be an inspiration! And welcome, mumubra! I hope that this group and the people in it will keep you inspired and determined! I learned over a long time and through the hard way just how much of an impression your appearance makes. I always struggled with the…

I love all of these quotes and I'm tucking them away for motivation! I was hard on myself on Christmas Eve, but not too much (I figured I could have a slice of pecan pie on a holiday). Christmas day was another story. I'll spare you the details except to say that I hated myself because of how much and what I ate, and then…
