so what some of you are saying is that OP is definitely wrong, everyone gains and loses in exactly the same way, and literally nobody has ever gained any muscle while in calorie deficit. good to know.

muscles burn more calories than fat when you're not even doing anything. you'll lose weight a little faster because of that. plus it'll help prevent flab from weight loss.

i make a 'smoothie in a bowl'. i put together 1 cup of plain whole milk yogurt, 1/4 cup rolled oats (i heat these up firs thing and let them cool off before I put them in the yogurt), 3/4-1 cup of berries, and 1 scoop of whey. It's super filling, checks all the important boxes, and keeps me satisfied until lunchtime.

As a side note, one of my bosses at work that I don't see very often suddenly started losing a ton of weight and I never said anything because I wasn;t sure if he was doing it on purpose or if he was sick. Turned out it was all good but it was so drastic for a while that I wasn't sure and wasn't comfortable enough with him…

I make my own at home in the morning, and take it to work in an insulated thermos. That way I have it exactly the way I like it every day :-)

If you're putting sugar or sweetener in it, it might be messing you up a bit. But the most black coffee will do is to very slightly increase your metabolism for a short time.
