Take it easy on your knees. I found that just scaling back a bit and taking a joint supplement has been helpful. I was going hard in the power jump moves and then decided that it wasn't worth it. I still do them, but much more softly! Happy knees.

I felt the *exact* same way when I did C25K. That was a shocker! I was able to do the run with ease! I was so surprised at how far I had come. Try it and see how you do, you might surprise yourself.

It depends on the one you have... I have two chest straps for this very reason. The fabric chest strap with the little monitor thing that pops on and off *does not work* in the pool (chlorine). It only works intermittently. The other strap (plastic across your chest) works well, but I find that I have to keep it a little…

My suggestion is to take your time and enjoy the accomplishment. It's your first race, so your personal record is NO RACE! Finishing is the goal. It's ok to stop and rest. It's ok to just do a granny trot when your tired. Take some friends to cheer you on. Find someone your runs your pace and just kinda hang with them.…

I ran outside, so I don't know how fast I was going, but I do know that brisk walkers easily passed me! I've run a few 5ks now using the same theme... run slowly until I can move…

I find that a teaspoon of chocolate chips does wonders for oatmeal!

When I started my weight loss and fitness journey a few years back, it was my goal to walk for 30 mins each day. Not run, not walk fast, just walk. Once I achieved that goal, I moved on to other goals. It was an incremental process. You do what works for you right now. I think there are a lot of P90X and Insanity folks…

You look great. What's most fun about these photos is that we can see your son is really not that much older in one photo to the next. It didn't take you 5 years! What an inspiration!
