  • Me too!!
  • I'm an hourglass... I agree with those that say it's hard to find clothes sometimes. My waist to hip ratio is kind of insane... (Like 32inch waist/40 something inch hips) so when I buy pants, they have to fit my hips and always gap at my waist. It's sooo frustrating, but I've always been curvy so it's not going anywhere no…
  • This is such a great post! I even find it hard to accept compliments when people notice my weight loss let alone find my "hotness" LOL But I'm working on it! I have a new found love for my tiny waist, the new muscles in my calves, and my other ASSets ;)
  • Then I'd go for one of the less expensive Polar's... I run and do a lot of cardio/weight training and I LOVE knowing exactly how much I'm burning... It keeps my snacking in check LOL! Also, Timex makes some pretty decent ones that are inexpensive and you can change the battery yourself. With my Polar, i have to send it out…
  • I just bought a Polar RS100 and so far I'm loving it. It gives you your Heart Rate, calories burned, and what percentage was burned from fat. It also does laps and splits if you run at all. It was a little over $100. If you're not a runner, Polar makes some less expensive HRM's that do pretty much everything else but the…
  • I went from a 38DD to a 32DDD.... When I started really losing weight, I went to get professionally fitted because I needed a bra with really good support. So my bandsize went way down but I went up in cup size but overall the girls shrunk quite a bit.
  • This is me... I don't think it's an excuse at all, it's just the way the body works for some poeple. I have a pretty flat stomach normally but when it's that time of the month it is noticably bigger because of the bloating (usually accompanied by a 2-3lb gain on the scale). I don't obsess over it. I'm in this for the long…
  • Me too! I have about 20 more lbs to go for my goal weight and I've been stuck at a plateau for months now...
  • I don't have rules per se but there are a few "guidlines" I've given myself. 1. "Because I don't feel like it or don't want to go" are NEVER good enough reasons not to go to the gym. Scheduling issues, transportation issues, or things beyond my control are one thing but if there's a day that I say to myself I don't feel…
  • I love my new muscles!!! My new favorite body parts are my legs and my obliques because that's where I have the most definition at the moment... I'm working on getting more definition in my arms. My trainers push me to train with heavier weights at times to gain strength. I don't mind muscles at all :)
  • Snacking is good and neccessary!! (especially working all day) You just have to make better snacking choices so you don't spend all your calories snacking. I snack ALL the time on things like apple slices, almonds and walnuts (100 cal pak), protien shakes, fiber plus bars and hummus. Every once and a while I'll have a not…
  • For the last few months I've been working out 11/2 hours 3 days a week with my trainer doing weight training, calisthenics, and various boot camp like workouts. Then the other 3 days in the week I do the eliptical machine for 30 minutes and 20 minutes on the stairmaster. Now I'm training for a 1/2 marathon so I run 3 days…
  • I agreee, guilt is useless! I think you did GREAT! Try to stay focused on the positive things you accomplished. And I need to know, what did you do to burn 1300 calories????
  • Do you take a multivitamin? I'm a bit of a coffee drinker too... I only have one cup during the week at work. But I find that if I miss my vitamin I'm really dragging the rest of the day.
  • Hi Jamie! Your journey sounds a little like mine... It took me a long time to get serious about losing weight after I had my daughter. It's hard but you can do it!!! Good Luck!
  • Thanks guys!!
