Thanks for the butt kick, lol! You're right: it's totally up to me. By eating "normally" I just mean eating whatever I cook for the family, which is usually healthy, but carb-heavy at times. I really get tired of cooking for them, and then something else for me.

So impressed by all of you! Seems that strength training is the way to go; you all seem so empowered by it. I'll confess that the simplicity of it sounds good to me too.

That's great, you're really making progress! What kind of strength training are you doing? You're own body weight, or are you going to a gym and using weights and machines? Also do you eat back your activity calories? Sorry to inundate you with questions... just looking for guidance!

Way to go! Love the attitude... I've lost four pounds over the past four weeks too. I actually gained last week because I was on vacation, but I lost that plus a pound this week. Life gets in the way, but we just have to keep getting back at it, right?

I'm no expert but probably a mix of both types of exercise is best. I'm trying to remember though, that most of weight loss is eating. No matter how much exercise I do, it won't matter if I eat crap!

Sorry to reply so late, but I've been away on and off for the last while and I'm just catching up. It's so hard to lose weight after 40! And I know it will get even harder after menopause, so i'm trying to get moving now! How is your journey going so far? Any success with the plan!
